She walks in from her horrific day at school, places her spare key on the side, and walks through the empty house. Theirs a note on the side, that says,
'out on a last minute business trip. I'll be back in two days. ~mum'
She slides the peace of paper into the bin and walks into the room to greet her pet Dog Autumn. "Hey girl!" She says whilst patting her head as she wags her tail.

She thinks about the awful day at school and how that one group of girls pointed out that she was wearing 'all black clothes' and Called her an 'Emo' and a 'goth'. And how that one boy pushed her over as she was walking to class.
Tears stream down her face, and a sudden rage of anger rolls down her body to her fists, making her feel the need to punch something. Autumn runs up to her barking, wondering what was wrong. She tries to cuddle up to Alex but with every touch she still resists. She throws her Bag on the floor and runs upstairs to her room. She pulls the long sleeves on her black top, and stares at her recent cuts. She cries even more, but their was a sudden urge not to hurt hurt her self anymore, as she got a message from her best friend Nina that read,
"Hey Alex.... I noticed you seemed sad today. Is everything okay?"
She replies quickly with a "I'm fine". The excuse she had been using for years, the excuse that everyone had belived. But Autumn had always been on her back. She never belived her when she said she was 'fine'

The problem with her was that she loved Nina. And not just in a friendly way. She had very strange feelings for Nina, And always felt special when being around her. She always helped her feel happy and smile, when no one else cared. Tho Nina at the time went to her collage, they still didn't get to see each other much outside of school as they would like to have.
