Steps to love - Levi x Reader

Ch10. Trainee

6 years later, year 850. After you entered wall Maria, you were separated from Armin, Mikasa and Eren, but you decide to join the Survey Crops no matter how many times they try to persuade you out of it.

"Salute Trainees!!" Keith Shadis, the chief instructor, demands standing with his hands behind his back. Everyone obediently follows his orders and salutes while standing in their organized roles. Keith Shadis then walks down the rows asking for people's names and what district they came from. You watch him as he slowly advances towards you. "Trainee, what's you name and what district did you come from?"

You look into his menacing eyes, but doesn't give in to fear and say loudly and proudly, "I'm (F/N) from the  Shiganshina District." He glares at you for a moment, due to your boldness and nods in satisfaction and moves on. After an hour or so you hear the instructor near the middle of the group talking lowly to a girl eating a potato. After the introductions to the instructor, everyone goes into the mess hall to eat, but not feeling hungry or well you stay outside on the porch of the mess hall, all alone. Bored, you watch the potato girl run around, doing the laps the instructor told her, that is until you hear yelling from inside and you run inside wanting part of the action. When you get in you see a surprisingly familiar boy and another boy whose face was long with light ash-brown hair arguing.

"If only you listen to yourself! And you're the one calling me a half-wit!" The light ash-brown haired boy says face to face to the familiar boy.

"Say what?!" The familiar looking boy said glaring at the light ash-brown haired boy.

"Eren", a blonde hair boy says not approving whatever the brown haired boy said.

"Look around! No one's approving the thought about even leaving the walls!" The light ash-brown haired boy said.

"Yeah, yeah I see", Eren said then goes up to his face angrily, "then go to the inner district already then... with you around in the Survey Corps would just ruin everyone's confidence."

"I do plan on going into the inner district. And you plan on going to the outer walls, right? Well then go for it. Your precious titans are waiting for you."

Eren and the light ash-brown hair, which you do believe his name is Jean if you remember correctly, throw a punch at each other at the same time right at their faces. After the first blow, the whole fight breaks out. Smiling from the action, you step into the mess hall and intercepts their blows and stops them from continuing the fight. "C'mon now! It was just getting good!~" You say, enjoying yourself.

"What do you thi-?!" Jean said before getting cut off.

"Do I know you?" Eren asks.

"Maybe. Depends, who's asking?" You ask although you know his name.

"Eren", he replies. Smiling you hug him.

"I know stupid", you continue to hug him happily, then a long black haired girl and the blonde boy stands walking towards you guys. You let go of Eren and look towards the other two and hug them. "I missed you guys! All three of you, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin!"

"We missed you too", Armin replies quite awkwardly from the hug.

"All of us did", Mikasa replies hugging you back. Letting go, everyone is staring at you and surprised by how quickly your attitude to others change.

"I'm gonna head back to the cabin to sleep early, bye guys! See you tomorrow morning!" You then walk out of the mess hall not realizing you're crying, when you do you start to run to the cabins wiping your tears at the same time. Rushing into the cabin you quickly take off your shoes and climb the ladder that leads to your bed and sits down, wiping your eyes still, unable to stop crying. You lie down in bed staring at the ceiling and falls asleep.
