it was my necklace. the necklace that only changed colors when something deadly is about to happen. to me. I was confused. terrified. dying..?
you see, i don't know who's reading this or when, but in the Society everyone has a necklace. you can't take it off, and it will never break. it is a dark blue. when someone is about to die, it turns red. it doesn't suddenly turn red though, it gradually faded over time. but there is a problem.
the Society states that nobody under 50 years old will ever die, and they have always kept their promise. until today. the necklace was as red as my lips.
