Unexpected

Six years

After the shoot last night, Jay suggested we went for dinner, seeing how we were both starving. Me and him usually do this after my shoots, it's like a tradition. The last few days have been crazy with paps everywhere though,so we've been more laid back.
'I don't understand how you eat so much and still have a perfect body' Jai's voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
'Shutup, you're just jealous babe' I winked back at him.
'You wish' he playfully scoffed back.

As soon as we were done with our starters, the waiter came over and took our second order.
' and for you beautiful' the waiter winked at me. Jay must of senses my awkwardness as he ordered for me,leaving the waiter giving him death glares as he sauntered back to the kitchen taken back.

'Alex,what the fuck was that?' Jay laughed.
' he's creepy, I didn't like it' I rolled my eyes at the look on Jays face.
'Dont worry,I have a plan for when he brings our food' jay smirked at me.
Oh fuck...

We both sat there talking about the boys and what their next video was going to be, when the creepy ass waiter brought our food, and decided to drop a napkin on my mat before placing my food down. Me and Jay could both clearly see his number sprawled across it...
'Thanks but she won't be needing this' Jay pulled an amused face,trying to not burst out with the laughter I knew he was holding back.
' and how do you know that' the waiter smirked back at him.
'Oh,because she's my girlfriend.' The shock was clear in the waiters eyes, and he had nothing left to say, so he just spun on his heel and marched away.

'Jay.. Thankyou' i softly spoke smiling at him.
' anything for you princess' he winked.
Jay had a thing for calling me princess, and has since we were 13 and I first got my heart broken.
Flash back
6 years ago.
I ran from the park and away from Jake, tears streaming down my face. I couldn't believe what I just saw. My boyfriend of a year was sitting kissing another girl. Not any girl, but my so called 'bestfriend'.
I took a route I knew off my heart and didn't stop running until I reached the door and began knocking uncontrollably.
'Woah Alex chill' Jay began chuckling as he opened the door, but immediately stopped once he saw my tears. He immediately pulled me into his chest and wrapped my legs around his waist and walked up to stairs to his room.

Once my sobbing had stopped, he asked me what happened. I explained everything and he looked at me with pain in his eyes.
'Alex, you honestly deserve so much better, he's an idiot for cheating,you're so perfect.' I just softly smiled at him,not knowing what to say. 'He was calling her princess' I sniffled,only just managing I get the words out. 'Just like he called me' I mumbled.
'Well you don't need him to call you princess,you're my princess now,forever.' ' you swear?' I giggled.
'Swear on everything'. 'Forever my princess'.

Ever since that day,I've been in love with him. Six years of being in love with my best friend and not saying a word. Woah...
