Running away through the night so black, a hand reaches out of nowhere and pulls her back. Whispers of voices ringing through her ears, she tries to forget all the fears surrounding her.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, she crashes into a tree and the blunt force throws her off her feet and into the air across the field of tangled grass.
Thinking she might be able to break the fall on the soft patch of grass, but instead, she hits a hard rocky surface and roles across clutching her head in agony that took full impact. Feeling pain all around her, she blacks out into the land of shadows.
Aware of her surroundings again, she tried to stand up but failed miserably and tumbled back on the grass and lost consciousness again.
This time, when she woke up, all around her was a blur. The sharpness she had before was lost and everything was unclear.
Melody looked around confused, her mind not able to process all that was around her.
Where am I?
Wasn't I in a grassy field a second ago?
What happened?
Okay...this is weird..
I think my brain is malfunctioning...Owww...my head..it hurts....man, I jsut want to die!!!!
Should I scream for help or keep quiet?? Who knows where I am? Maybe I should be quiet...
A loud beeping noise wouldn't stop demanding attention. Melody could not stand it, so she tried to get up and check out what it was.
But as soon as she moved, she collapsed back onto something soft.
A sound of a door opening and people walking rang in her ears.
Oh my gosh, who is that?!
They're walking towards me??
Why is there a door?
I'm in a room? What is going on here?Should I yell? I can't move, so I should scream??
Deciding to go with that, she tried her voice box and it worked.
A high pitch scream echoed off the walls of the hospital. The people walking in the room rushed to her thinking she might be in pain.
An all too familiar voice asked her, 'Dy, you're awake! Are you alright?'
She tried to open her eyes again but her brain took a while to sharpen the images around her.
'Woah, it's bright! Where am I?'When she looked around again, she saw a plump middle age looking man with a round concerned face, another man in a white coat and glasses staring back at her as if she was Taylor Swift, and by the side, looking rather confused, was a young teenage looking Asian boy who couldn't seem to figure out if he was supposed to be happy or scared.
'Um...okay, I don't know what is going on here, this is scary. But by the looks of it, I'm in a hospital? And I can't seem to move without hurting myself. Mind telling what's happening instead of just staring at me like I'm Yuzuru Hanyu?!'
She blinked in surprise at her words, and so did everyone else.
'Wait, Yuzuru Hanyu....he's....He's my training mate? Right? And friend...yeah, that's right. Wow, that was weird. It was as if I forgot who he was for a second'The three standing exchanged eye contact.
Finally the man in the white coat, the doctor she presumed, spoke up.
'You've just had a car accident and you hit your head from the impact so that's why you may not be able to recall somethings for now. But it should be well in a few months. So don't feel too frustrated if you can't remember who is who or what happened sometimes. It's just a short term condition of short term memory lost, but other then that, you have obtained a muscle injury at your flexor so you maybe need to stay off practice for 2 to 3 weeks to make a full recovery. I wasn't expecting you to be awake already but we'll, it's a good sign.'
