"So, here we are... Again."

Sans couldn't help but smile bitterly at this fact. He couldn't even remember how many times they had stood here in this hall, it was far too many to count, he'd given up on that after the seventy sixth reset.

It didn't matter anyway.

No one else, aside from them and that freaky little flower, remembered the resets anyway.

Still...

There was only so much Sans could take of reliving the same thing over and over again. He had been doing it for a long time already, any hope he had of ever seeing the surface had died out long ago.

Now all he had to look forward to was the constantly replaying events of the timeline.

Sure they might change every now and again - but in the end it was always the same.

He was tired of it.

Frisk had been the first light of hope he had had in a very long time. The young child had seemed so determined, so honest, and kind...

But it was nothing more than a lie.

Reset after reset.

Things had gone from bad to worse and even though the endings they had were happy ones, it never seemed to be enough.

Or perhaps it was just a simple case of childish curiosity... Sans didn't know. He didn't care. He had stopped caring years ago.

Now all that was left was anger - anger that his friend, the one human he had ever gotten close to, the only human he had ever trusted... Had betrayed him.

Frisk had done the one thing he warned them against.

Genocide.

Sans shook his head in bitter resentment, his smile still plastered on his face, even as he gazed toward the young child with a deceivingly passive expression.

He stared at the kid who had ruined everything and felt a stab of hopelessness cut into his soul.

Frisk was, or rather had been, someone special to Sans. A friend. A companion. Hell, Sans had considered them as close as a brother.

But now... Now all he wanted was to forget them. To forget everything they had done, all the lies, the fake promises, everything.

"Well, it was fun while it lasted kid... But I don't think I can do this anymore." He finally said after a long period of silence.

He shifted on his feet and tipped his head back slightly, his left eye glowing an ominous blue as his smile took on a rather sharp edge.

It was time for another player - this would be Frisk's GAME OVER.
