April 1912, Departure Day of Titanic, Said Ship To Be Unsinkable.

Matthew Waters' P.O.V

"Here we are."

I heard the driver open the door of the vehicle, and outstretch his hand, allowing Alice's white gloved hand to rest in his rather large bare one, as she gently stepped out and onto the pavement.

He stayed perfectly postured, allowing Miss Elizabeth Livingston out, followed by my own mother, Enid Waters.

I climbed out of the vehicle stepping out to see daylight for the first time in what seemed like hours.

"Come Matthew, we must go and check our parlour whilst they bring our things on board."

Alice's calm facial expression turned disgusted as she realized how dirty the place was. I admit, I felt uneasy as well.

There were third class passengers running everywhere. There were small children, running everywhere. There was everyone everywhere, desperately trying to get onto the boat as fast as they could.

We were walking through the crowd, Alice desperately trying to hold onto her hat as she followed my mother and Miss Livingston, swivelling through hundreds of people.

Before I knew it, we were walking up the ramp that led to the boat, as we were followed by our driver, carrying most of our bags.

See, we didn't have that many things actually. They were mostly clothes and such. I know Alice must have at least two corsets in there, but that's beside the point.

You see, me and Alice's fathers are already settled in America with a business, and he took most of our family and home items just to make travelling on the boat easier.

As we stepped into the main area of the ship, I couldn't believe how nice it really was. The wallpaper was perfectly decorated. Vases of flowers adorned small tables that were pressed against the walls.

"Ah welcome! You must be the Livingston's and the Waters, correct?"

A man opened one of the glass doors leading to a grand staircase.

"Yes that's who we are. Can you show us our parlour? I'm absolutely eager to get settled in and hang up some of these paintings."

My mother talked to this man like he was a maid. Can she clearly not see that he isn't wearing a dress? It's not that I don't love my mother, but she can so fake sometimes. She spoke with a bit of a bounce in her voice, and did one of those laughs that are obnoxious and high pitched.

"Yes certainly Miss Waters. Trudy will be your maid for the two weeks you are aboard the R.M.S. Titanic."

With that being said, a small girl, around the age of maybe 30, scurried over and helped pick up some of our things.

She had short, curly hair and brown eyes. I'm not saying that I'm attracted to her, as Alice is my fiancé, but for a maid, she's pretty adorable.

Half the walk to our parlour, Alice was whispering things to me. She was telling me how much she absolutely wasn't fond of Trudy, and when I asked her why, she didn't answer.

When we were in the room, I could tell Alice was getting ready to test Trudy on something. She had this look on her face, that I knew all to well.

"Trudy please describe some things on the boat for me."

I had no idea what that was supposed to mean. Alice, what are trying to do?

"Everything on this ship is perfect."

Trudy began talking, as if she could sense what Alice was doing.

"The sheets have never been slept in.. the silverware, never eaten off of. Everything in this ship is brand new, and I hope it is to your liking, Miss Livingston."

"Trudy, stop being useless and go fetch us some tea."

Miss Elizabeth spoke up with one of the worst things to say.

With that, Trudy simply nodded, replied 'yes ma'am' and ran off.

Well I definitely could've done better tbh. Oh well. I hope this seems like a book you'd enjoy!

I still have way more characters that need to take place in this book so just hang tight okay?
