The sun is up, no traffic congestion in highways, the wind were slightly breezy, It's a good day, at least for some but for Mika, Ara and Kim, it is just another normal day for work. Abala ang tatlo sa kasong hawak nila regarding to some factory that leaking their toxic waste in the nearby community, malaki ang kasong to dahil bigatin ang kumpanyang hinaharap nila so when they gathered enough resources to make an excellent witness, nagpasya ang tatlo na mag unwind muna sa isang coffee shop na malapit sa law firm na pinagmamay-ari nila.
"I really need a girlfriend." Ara muttered to her friends na kulang nalang ay literal na pulutin ang mga panga nilang nahulog sa lupa. They are just there, comfortably sitting while sipping their coffee when they heard Vic blurting out some nonsense.
"W-what? Nagjojoke ka ba?" Di mapakapaniwalang tanong ni Kim. She's just making sure na hindi siya nabibingi sa narinig niya mula kay Vic. The ever serious Vic who deemed emotions as a disturbance now needed a girlfriend? Hell yeah, kailangan nga niyang makasigurado sa narinig. They were looking at Vic as if the latter grew two heads.
"A girlfriend. I needed one.. " medyo naiinis na wika ni Vic.
Mika and Kim, along with their other friends snicker upon confirming the words they just heard.
"At bakit?" Mika asked curiously.
Now, it is time para tanungin din ni Vic ang sarili, and honestly, for a thousand times now.
She spent her night rolling around her bed, thinking about the freaking kiss. She thought the drinks with her friend will help her calm her wrecking nerves but she got it wrong. She remembered being wide awake hanggang sa unang pagtilaok ng tandang and now, she's sporting her prided eyebag that she thinks weighs half of her body proportion. She's just kidding herself of course.
"Well, i'm not getting any younger.." she reasoned well but the other two just gave her a knowing look.
"And how about your childhood sweetheart?"
"What about her?" Vic quickly retort kaya napatawa si Kim at Mika.
"Wala lang," Mika shrugging her arms then added "but i had a friend from Bulacan, dito daw muna yun sa Manila at may aasikasuhin, you can meet up if you wanted too.."
"Really? Maganda ba?" Kim quickly asked.
"Sus, marami ka na nun. Para kay Ara ngayon to." Mika smack her friend lightly while chuckling "but yes, maganda siya and let me say.. she had brains too."
Vic favorably nodded at the thought of meeting someone, "sure, papuntahin mo lang dito or something.. i can use a date to cheer up my old self then."

As for Bang, she's not in her mood for days now after that stupid kiss. Pati nga trabaho niya ay naaapektuhan na as she's always finding herself sa harapan ng blangkong screen, waiting for some inspiration to hit her. Well, it looks more like she's waiting para bumukas ang langit at magkantahan ang lahat ng anghel sa kanya hanggang sa makapagaulat siya.
"Ugh. Kelan ba ang deadline nito?" Naaasar na sabunot ni Bang sa buhok niyang gulong gulo na. God. She's stress pero bakit gandang ganda pa rin siya sa sarili? Ha, siya na talaga ang pag asa ng mundong ibabaw para mawala ang mga pangit sa mundo. Man, look at her genes. She's heaven.
But kung gaano siya ka gandang ganda sa sarili, ganun rin naman katalim ang tingin na pinupukol sa kanya ng kaibigan niya.
"Loka loka ka, sa makalawa na yang deadline niyan!" Mela said with a slight hint of annoyance.Magkasama sila sa trabahong eto at kung may papalpak man ay mapapalpak din ang sweldo nila.
Napalaki ang mata ni Bang at tuluyan na talagang napasabunot sa buhok. "Ayoko na."
Mela sighed and looked at the ceiling, it looks like she's asking for miracles or divine guidance or some sort as that but Bang knew better. Her friend only knew Our Guardian Angel as a prayer .
"Alam mo, ligawan mo nalang kaya yang si Vic. Di masosolve yang problema niyo kung mag-aact as friend lang kayo. Duh. Nahiya ang North Pole sa inyo. You're cold towards each other. The hell will freeze over."
But midway at Mela's ranting expertise, natigilan si Bang. Her hands thats on the brink of pulling her hair off automatically went to cover her gasping mouth.
"Shit. I never thought.."
Mela frowned. "Sa dami ng kalokohang alam mo, ano pa ang hindi?"
Dali daling tumayo si bang at kinuha ang bag niya. She's on a position to start sprinting but then she turned to her best friend and blindly smiles "That you have a brain." She then run off in the hallway towards the exit while shouting at the top of her lungs.. "THOUGHT THE ZOMBIES ATE THEEEM!'
Bang never minds the glance she procure after that.
