The small red marks stung. She gagged and coughed on the taste of embers. She slowly looked up and extended her arms out and put her palms up as if she were a small child trying to find the source of a snowfall. She fell back in what seemed like slow motion into the flames. They licked up her body, engulfing her once lively soul. No struggle, just peace. She pretended that the fire was the sun and that the ashes were just snowflakes. She let her body go, and it went. It looked like she was just asleep. A genuine smile, and a small sparkle still left in her eyes. But she was gone, at least she left happy. A beautiful red color filled the sky and everything else was gone with her. The snowflakes still burning the last souls. The rest was soon to be in flames anyways, might as well leave now.
