-~-Harry's POV-~-
Louis. Tomlinson. The name just made me glare. He was the schools drama teacher and my opposite. I was everything a teacher should be; smart, somewhat strict, high expectations, and I gave homework frequently. I was an English teacher fresh out of uni like Louis the two of us started teaching a year ago and even though Louis was two years older than me, I was far more mature than him.
Louis didn't care if kids slept or disrupted his class. He didn't assign any actual work for his students and he dressed just like he'd rolled out of bed. He wasn't a good example for the teens in his class. All of his students took his class for the easy A and the credit they got towards their graduation.
Every time I walked past Louis in the hall he was smiling and chatting with his students as he made his way towards the teachers lounge to make yet another cup of tea. I swear that's all he drinks.
Most of the other teachers didn't have much respect towards him either. Whilst everyone else worked to teach their students and worked to grade and assign homework and plan tests, if you walked past the drama room there was just a loud wall of noise that you ran into. And if Louis had a late night, he would sleep and let his students watch different movies.
He should be fired.
But no, all the kids like him and he has a way with them and apparently he can control them easier than anyone else in this school. Honestly I thought he was just as bad as the class clowns.
I say at my desk as my students took a test on The Count of Monte Cristo. A book that we spent the first three months of school reading at home as we did poetry. I already knew that half of the kids in my class didn't even bother to read the book, they were going to fail the test.
A large crash was heard from outside and everyone in my room jumped and stared at the door including me.
"Go back to your tests." I said and poked my head out the door to see the entire drama class and their teacher out in the hallway laughing to the point of tears. "If you could keep it down, my students are taking a test." I snapped looking directly at Louis. He was hunched over wearing rolled up jeans, a blue and white striped shirt with a maroon sweatshirt on top of it, a beanie on his head (despite the dress code) and his glasses slipping down his nose.
He looked up still laughing and said, "Sorry, we were just practicing some improv and those three fell into the lockers." He pointed to the three students who were on the ground, now quieted from their laughing fits.
"If you could do that in your actual class so you weren't interrupting mine, I would appreciate it." I tried not to snap at Louis, I didn't need to lose my composure around the students.
Louis just shrugged and I frowned, "there's no space in my class to do our exercises. There are too many desks and not enough free space in the front." He stuffed his hands into his pockets.
He was ridiculous. "Please just keep it down." I sighed and retreated back into my classroom and shut the door, possibly a little harder than I should've. But Louis just made me want to strangle someone. He couldn't just be a regular teacher, he had to disrupt classes and make so much noise.
The worst part was the fact that his classroom was right across from mine so I couldn't ever escape the noise that came from his classroom all day.
I sat down at my desk and watched as the students slowly got up one by one and placed their completed tests face down on my desk. I rubbed my face and sighed, I really wasn't this strict all the time, I just thought that teachers had a role to play and an act to follow and Louis wasn't following it.
-~-Louis' POV-~-
Harry needs to lighten up. It's not like we are killing anyone. I'm just teaching my students just like he is. And don't get me wrong, I see the looks I get from the other teachers and staff, I hear their whispers about my teaching strategy. But unlike them, my class was successful and everyone enjoyed it and wanted to learn and do more.
So they could go shove a cactus up their asses. It's not like they didn't already have a stick shoved up their.
My class was more than just a drama class. I taught my kids how to be confidant with themselves. I couldn't believe how many of them have changed over the year, they've gone from kids who watched their feet as they walked down the halls thinking that they were being judged all the time, to confidant teenagers who weren't afraid to be themselves despite what anyone else thought.
And sure with that I taught them different things about theatre and just acting in general. They loved being able to play different personas and act stupid and ridiculous without the fear of a grade or a judging eye. My class was a friendly environment and no one else seemed to see that.
I ushered my class back into the room and we all sat down in our desks and I decided to let them watch different parodies of movies on YouTube so they could judge the acting and tell me what could be improved. They just shouted out their criticism and I would reply with a comment or saying that it was a good observation.
The bell soon rang and my class shuffled out the door. I had a free period now, so I grabbed my mug and walked down to the teachers lounge.
I made a quick cup of tea and sat down by myself and slowly sipped at the drink. I caught the occasional glance of a staff member looking at me disapprovingly and I rolled my eyes.
Get a life would ya?
So what do ya think???? I hope you like it cause I do!!!!!!! Ha, well anyways thanks for reading and if you could drop a comment down below, vote and fan me that'd be great!!! I LOVE feedback!
