"Married?" I ask him in shock.

"You heard me." Hunter smiles.

"Hunter I am thirteen! I can't get married!" I say.

"Cade. You do know it's just a pretend wedding...right?" He asks.

"What?" I ask, calmer.

"Hi I'm Cadence, could you please marry me and my dead friend?" Hunter imitates me. "It's just a hypothetical wedding." He says.

"Oh." I say.

"So are you ready?" He asks.

"Do I have a choice?" I ask.

"Nope." He smiles.

"I'll go first." Hunter says. He takes my hands and looks at me. "Cadence. You are the most amazing, most kind, most beautiful human I have ever met. I love you. I love you when it's hard to love and when it may be hard to love, I'll still love you. It's easy to love you. I guess I kind of need that. I guess I'll probably need that when you grow up." He says. I nod and out my hands on his shoulders. "But that's okay. Because I'll always love you." He pauses. "Your turn." He says.

"You know, I was a little caught off guard with this... But maybe, just maybe, this speech I'm abut to give doesn't have to be like it is in the movies or books. Maybe I can just say I love you. I can say I love you with everything within me." I say. Hunter nods. "Hunter," I begin. "I love you so much." He nods again. "I love you more than anyone could ever love you. I love you more than anyone has ever loved you or will ever love you. I love you in a kind of way I never planned on loving you. I never planned on thinking of you all the time, but I just..." I smile.

"Love you." Hunter finishes. I smile and nod. He nods, kisses my fore head and hugs me.

And then, we were "married."
