A/N:

Okay so this is a Hunger Games fanfiction about the future generation of tributes. This story is actually written by three people: me (Maggie), my sister named Abby, who's wattpad is Buttonlover, and our friend named Stephanie, who's account name is thewalkingquiff. Stephanie writes the chapters in Rylan's pov, I write the chapters in Breeze's pov, and Abby writes the chapters in Pippa's pov. Thanks for reading!

Chapter One

*Rylan's pov*

I watched silently from my bedroom window as the sun rose, signifying a new day. Not just any new day. A new free day. I can't help but to feel grateful. After hearing all of those sad, horrible, and terrifying stories from my mom and dad, I've realized just how lucky me and my older sister are.

Suddenly, a knock on my door pulled me from my other thoughts. My door slowly opened and mom stuck her head in. "Rylan, sweetheart, it's time for breakfast. I don't want the cake to get stale, your father baked it special for you!" Oh yeah. I guess I forgot. Not really sure how that happened, but somehow I forgot my own birthday. As of 4:32 AM, I am 15 years old.

"Okay mom, I'll be right down. Just let me change first." I said, yanking clothes out of my drawers and causing a pile of clothes to accumulate on the floor. Mom shook her head and smiled. "Alright hon. I love you." With that, she left the room. I looked back down at my lovely mess on the floor and grabbed my favorite torn brown shirt and khaki shorts. Quickly, I pulled the clothes on and ran out of my room.

I ran past my sister's room and the guest room, then down the winding flight of stairs which sometimes gets me dizzy. Once downstairs, I ran into the kitchen and sat in my seat, which was the seat that was against the window. Across from me, my older sister was braiding her jet black locks intently.

As soon as I sat down, she looked up, and her blue eyes lit up like light bulbs. "There's the birthday boy! Fifteen at last!" Rose, my sister, said joyfully as she jumped up from her seat. Before I knew it, Rose had wrapped her arms around me in her famous bear hug.

My pale cheeks reddened, and I smiled awkwardly. "Thanks Rose." I mumbled, smiling half heartily at my sis. Not more than a month ago, we had celebrated Rose's seventeenth birthday. It was amazing, and consisted of all her friends gathering at our house and celebrating late into the night. They talked, played games, and had fun outside for pretty much the whole time. Although I wasn't a part of it. I just sat in the dusty loft of our big, renovated house and watched the party go on through the fogged up, hexagonal window.

Chapter Two

*Breeze's pov*

I sat on the shore rubbing my hands in the cool sand. My mom told me there was a time when we weren't allowed to go on the shore for fun. She said that the government was afraid we were going to swim away, so they put up huge fences to keep us in. The only people allowed in were the fishermen and Victors on the Victor tour. During the revolt the people of district 4 knocked the fence down claiming in their minds what was theirs.

When I was a baby my mother would take me down to the shore all the time. She took advantage of everything she didn't get to do as a kid, making sure I had a better childhood then her. She taught me how to build the perfect sand castle, where to look for sea glass, but most importantly she taught me how to swim. One day when I was ten me and my mother were going to the shore to go swimming when we saw it. A new wall. My mother felt trapped, a new wall meant a new set of rules. Rules she was afraid that could take away everything she had worked to give me. We are allowed on the shore unlike before, but we have a limited amount of time, 2 hours a week, how generous of the government! They have all of their rules posted on the wall, but I never bothered to read them.
