I stepped out on a bright spring day in Hawaii. Life could not be better. I went out to breakfast with a friend of mine. When I got home I got a phone call from my sister, Emma. Ugg she always calls. She is annoying. She has too much of my dad in her. But she has just enough of my mom to keep it tolerable.
"Hey Julia"
"hey emma"
"I was just calling to catch up"
"oh yeah. What have you guys been doing"
"well when you left I had 1 child which would be Tony but now I have 3 kids"
"3!!! You better get you and your kids down here I want to meet them"
"yeah, Ava has 1 kid Josh has 1 too but he wants another with Freeha his fiancé."
"Cool anything else new
"yeah uncle Nick is dying"
"it's about time"
"hey so I was online and bought you a ticket to go see us"
"wait, what!?when!" Look, I have a busy schedule I can't just up an leave what if I get an assignment.
"Next Tuesday and I don't care what u say u r coming!"
"Emma I can't just up and leave"
"I don't care there is no other way for you to come"
"Ugg ok I'll only go if you make sure dad isn't home"
"Deal, we'll get him out some how"
Ugg at least dad will be out.
I started packing and prepared for the journey ahead.
