Two years.
Nearly two years since I published the first chapter of this book. June of 2014. It's February of 2016 now, and I never honestly thought I would finish this book.
In all honesty, of everything I've ever written, I am most proud of this. I'm not proud of how long the lulls between certain chapters are, not proud of how I didn't formulate a plot until nearly Chapter 10.
But I am proud of how I managed to make this story so long and in-depth and just so, so me. It shows how my skills improved over one of the most influential times of my life. I'm proud of how I didn't fall into the stereotypes I've seen in so many PJO fics. I'm not trying to be narcissistic here but damn. I am proud of this shit!!
But mostly, I'm proud of you guys. I'm proud to be part of a fandom that is willing to pore over every book until they have every detail memorized, proud to be part of a fandom that is willing to dedicate two years of their life to telling a story.
This isn't the best Nico fan fiction out there, and it doesn't have to be, because you still enjoyed it. And that's good enough for me.
So thank you. I read every comment, I smile when I see all the reads and votes and every time someone adds this to a reading list or says they can relate.
So here's your fun fact of the week: I love all of you guys from the bottom of my heart. <3
Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time.
