Becka's POV
In the evening
"Mom!" I yelled as I entered the living room but stopped in my tracks when I saw men in black leather jeans and white shirts but there was one who was holding a briefcase and was also dressed in a full grey suit.
"You must be Becka Stevens." The man said acknowledging my sudden presence.
"Mom whats going on?" I asked ignoring the man as my heart kicked against my ribcage.
Instead, the same man opened a briefcase that I hadn't noticed that was on the glass table across from my mom.
The man looked up at my mother and slowly turned the briefcase towards her, and I literally felt my mouth drop open at the sight.
In the briefcase, neatly packed were lots and lots of 100 dollar bills, it also seems that I'm literally staring at about something that's close or is the exact amount of a million dollars in cash.
A huge smile found its way on my mom's face. She took the case from the man, once it was in her hands she slowly ran her fingers over the contents in the briefcase and still smile remained on her face as if she had just made the best decision of her life.
Actually, watching as the whole scene unfolded before me, I thought that maybe mom was doing something illegal and then the word drugs popped in my head.
I silently begged that she would not be doing or have anything to do with drugs or anything close to that. I hoped that whatever she's doing its for the right reasons.
"Take it." She said pulling me out of my little speech in my mind.
"Take what?" I asked curious, looking between my mother and the strange man.
"You're coming with us love." The man said getting up, smoothing out the front of his jacket.
"Don't call me love and what are you talking about?" I asked.
I looked at my mother, then the briefcase, then the man as realization hit me like a ton of bricks.
"My mom just, no she couldn't..." I thought to myself.
"M-m-mom." I stuttered.
"Let me explain this, your mother hear sold you to us for a million dollars. Now you're coming with us " the man replied.
"You sold me?" I ask in disbelief thinking that my mom was joking or something. She however continued to trace the outline of the cash with her finger tips in front of her.
"You sold me!" I screamed as I knocked the briefcase from her lap.
My mom jumped up and slapped me across the cheek.
"Shut up brat, you were a mistake, I don't care about you I just want my life back where I'll be able to drink with my friends and do what the hell ever I want. But with you out if the way I get to drink more often instead of looking after your sorry ass!" She yelled at me.
"Why, did you do this?" I asked, as I slowly processed what she said a while ago.
"You were a mistake, just like your father, at first I thought that you would turn out like me but you didn't. I don't need you." She replied calmly.
Suddenly a cloth was slipped over my face and hands wrapped around me body.
I tried to get free as I held my breath but soon heard my heart beating in my head and I had no other choice but to exhale and breath in the sweet scent .
Black dots slowly cloud my vision but I fought it for as long as I could as I was dragged from the house and placed in the back seat of a car. That was the last thing I saw before darkness consumed me.
Hours later
Images of my mom, the money and the men flashed in my mind. My eyes suddenly snapped opened but I had to blink a few times till they got adjusted to the darkness around me.
The room was pitch black and I could bearly breathe, I tried to get up but stopped as I felt something that had my hands and feet bound together.
*cough*
I froze in my current position as I heard someone coughing.
"Hello?" I called out in the darkness.
"W- who are you?" The voice replied back stuttering, based on the response I could tell that its a girl probably the same age as me.
"I'm Becka, where are we?" I replied back.
"Hi I'm Jessica and I don't know, all I know is that my dad just sold me for 2 million dollars." She said as her voice cracked at the ending.
I heard her crying silently, which made me want to cry as I also remembered what my mother did.
"And you?" She asked pulling me out of my thoughts.
"My mom, she's a drunker, I mean I really cared for her but now I don't know what to think of her. She sold me for a million dollars." I replied back as I felt my eyes burning as the tears formed.
"Jessica , do you know what is binding our hands and feet together?" I asked quickly changing the subject.
"Its no use, our hands and feet are chained together." She replied back making me take in a sharp breath.
Using my finger tips I traced the outline of whatever is around my wrists and feet and with each touch it was cold and not to rusty.
Using my finger nail, I lightly tapped on the object and a light little clink echoed throughout the room.
It was definitely chains.
"What are they going to do with us?" I asked.
"They're gonna sell us again to rich men from all over the state. Both millionaires and billionaires, we will do whatever they say and we might even become their mistresses." Jessica replied.
Before I could say anything a door opened and I was a bit blinded by the light.
Let me know what you guys think.
