He chuckled. "I mean I have to go fetch my mother's overcoat from the car, she's feeling cold."
"Oh." I felt stupid.
"But if you would really miss me this much, you could come with me. Think of this as a mini- date." He winked at me.
I blushed. " Umm.. Okay. If its fine with you."
We started walking down, taking the stairs. I had been curious to ask him this for a while and thought this was the best time.
"Umm.. D.. Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked nervously.
He looked at me, surprised. But then his expression changed. "No not right now. But I do like a girl and I think she likes me too." He said. I wad heartbroken when he said this but didn't show it. He continued, "She's shy and doesn't talk much. Maybe just to me. I wish she talked more and showed her feelings more." When he said this, I could see the pain in his eyes. He was suffering just like me. I wanted to encourage him to follow his heart but my heart wouldn't allow it. And now that I had talked to him more, my affection has only increased. She was a fool, that girl, if she couldn't see him like I was. I was quiet for the time.
As we were walking back with the overcoat, I heard a screech. A car was speeding towards us as if being driven by a drunkard. I was at the front but he was a little away from me. In direct range of the car. Before I could assess what was happening my legs moved by themselves and I jumped towards him and we both fell towards the side. My heart suddenly felt light after that. He was safe. Ge thanked me a number of times before we finally got up. But as I started moving, I realized that my bracelet was stuck with the buttons of his shirt. Still we somehow reached the hotel lobby. With my hand at his chest. I would probably be blushing right now if that car incident had not happened. He put the overcoat at the reception and instead of going upstairs, he started walking towards the inner lobby.
"Erm.. We have to go upstairs." I said.
"You wouldn't want us to be seen like this, would you?" He said motioning towards my stuck bracelet.
"Oh.. Not at all." I replied.
