Scorpion walked all the way to a near by pond and just plain sat in it. Steam came up from the water and Sub-Zero held in his laugh. Scorpion soon lied back, and pretty much seemed to be enjoying himself, well the water.
"Feeling any better steam brain?" Sub-Zero asked chuckling.
"Don't push it," Scorpion said.
"Okok."
"Now.." After Scorpion said that he pulled Sub-Zero into the pond. Unfortunately, no icicle.
"Dam it.."
"What the heck Hanzo!"
"..."
"I-im..it just.."
Scorpion got up and left.
"Wait!"
Sub-Zero got up and ran to catch up with him. Scorpion grabbed his mask and headed North.
They were now heading back on the mission at hand. It being even more silent between the two.
"Scorpion.. I'm,"
"Save it..."
"..sorry."
"*sigh* ...it's fine."
"Wait what?"
"You herd me, Kuai."
Sub-Zero smiled a little to that.They both then started to walk side by side with each other, talking the day away.
-with someone-
"Do you think this will actually help them?"
"Let's hope..if Scorpion truly wants to stay here, we need no fighting."
The second person nodded in agreement.
-back to Scorpion and Sub-Zero-
The two were still talking, surpriseingly. Sub-Zero was laughing his butt off and Scorpion well..he's a tough nut to crack. Sub-Zero had a few ideas but didn't do them.
"So..you know its only fair if my mask is off then so should yours."
"Alright."
Sub-Zero took off his mask and Scorpion eyes widened a bit.
"What?"
"Your face."
"What about it?"
"It's so..white.."
Sub-Zero face plamed and he could have sworn he saw a small smirk appear on Scorpion's face for a brief second.
"So..since were taking this route, how come you don't like me calling you..you know."
"..reasons.."
"May I know these reasons?"
"..no.."
"Alright.."
"...you really want to know?"
"Well...we're friends.. Right?"
"F-friends?"
"You don't know what a friend is?"
"I do..just never really herd it.."
"Oh..well.."
Scorpion smiles and pats Sub-Zero on the back.
"Ha, friends...well then "friend" my name just brings back..many..many things.."
"What kind of things?"
"Stuff you probably already know."
"Huh? Oooh....."
Akward silence.
"Was she pretty?"
"Beautiful.."
"Was she kind?"
"Very.."
"What did she look like?"
(*shrug*) "black long straight hair..blue eyes..sweet smile..."
Sub-Zero nodded and then he herd a sniff? He looked over and noticed Scorpion had stopped. He was...crying?
A nice breeze went past Sub-Zero and for a brief second a spirit appeared in front of Scorpion. A female, she had her hand on his cheek.
Scorpion wipped his tears away and started walking again. Sub-Zero followed a bit behind.
Mixed feelings were going around the place, from anger, happy to just plain sad. Maybe Scorpion was bipolar? No..no that's not a passability.
The two started a nice small conversation again. They talked and walked in till it was almost night.
Scorpion sat under a tree, and Sub-Zero Sat next to him.
"..how about this.. I'll let you call me Hanzo..if I can call you by your name."
"Deal."
The two shook on it, then Scorpion pulled his hand away and looked around.
"Fidgity much?"
"Shut it.."
"Alright....Hanzo."
Scorpion glared at Sub-Zero who started laughing. Soon Scorpion joined in on the laughter. The two basically seemed like druken iddiots at this point.
"So Kuai..have you ever fell in love?"
"Lin Kuei are not allowed to fall in love.."
"Oh.."
"Well you seem sad."
"Shut up."
"And defensive."
Scorpion rolled his eyes and leaned against the tree.
"So..Scorpo.."
"Hm.."
"Why did you ask?"
"Just wondering.."
Sub-Zero nodded.
