Most people know my famous dad. Simon Cowell.
I met him for the first time in my life when my mom died.
Let me tell you about myself.
I am Ally Macfalda, I'm 16, and I have braces. On the top teeth I have invisaline braces and on the bottom I have hot pink.
I have no idea who my dad is. I live alone with my mom in Michigan.
"Mom? I'm home!" I called out as I shut the door.
I didn't hear a voice but I knew she was home because her phone was plugged in.
I walked upstairs and pushed open her bedroom door.
I dropped to the floor at the sight I saw.
My mom was laying on the bed with empty pill bottles around her. She had a note in her hand.
I checked to see if she was breathing or if she had a pulse.
I folded up the note and put it in my jacket pocket. I grabbed my phone and called 911.
"Hello, 911, how may I help you?" the lady on the other hand asked.
"Help, my mom overdosed on pills and I need someone at my house as soon as possible." I said frantically into the phone.
"Ma'am, calm down. Can you tell me your address?" she asked.
I gave it to her then hung up.
I have no family so I called my best friend and told her to meet me at the hospital.
The paramedics rushed to my house and took my mother and I to the hospital.
As soon as we got there I saw Sara and ran into her arms.
"Ally Macfalda? We have news about your mother" said a doctor in a long white coat.
I walked over to him.
"I'm sorry, Ally. We did everything we could. Do you have any family that could take care of you?" he asked.
I broke down. I was only 16 and I just lost my mother and have no contact with my dad.
Wait-let me check that note I put some where.
I started patting my pockets for the note. I grabbed my jacket and looked in the pockets. In there I found it. I opened it up and read it.
Ally,
I'm sorry for doing this to you. As you have probably noticed you have no guardian. But your father lives in the U.K.
I looked away. My father lives in the U.K.? I looked back at the letter.
I put his name and number on the bottom. I put your name on my will and you get everything in the house and in the bank. Your father knows about you. I love you so much and I hope you are very successful in your life.
I love you a lot, Mom
Here is how you can contact your father Simon Cowell, 735-917-2309.
I looked up at the doctor and Sara. "Yeah, I have my dad. I'll call him." I responded to the doctor.
"I'll see you later Ally." Sara said leaving.
I got my phone and went back into the waiting room.
I dialed the number and he answered right away.
(S=Simon,A=Ally)
S- Hello?
A- Umm, hi. My mom, Cathy gave me this phone number.
S- Uhh, Cathy Macfalda?
A- Yeah. She, uh, she killed herself this after noon and told me to contact you.
S- GASP!
A- She also told you were my father.
S- Yes, Ally I am. Do you need a guardian there with you?
A- Please, I'm only 16, I can't go live in a foster home.
S- Pack all your stuff I'll send a cab to pick you up tomorrow at 3:00. Then you get on the next plane to England. All right?
A- Okay.
S- I'll see you soon.
I was at home putting everything in boxes.
I packed my Apple products in the bottom of one bag.
In the same bag I put my headphones and my wallet.
I put in my travel pillow and a change of clothes.
I zipped it up and took a last look at my room.
It was still painted pink from the time Mom and I painted it.
We bought the paint and came home.
Me, being the stupid 5 year old I was, knocked over a ladder, covering me in the light pink paint.
Mom couldn't stop laughing after she saw me.
I got angry and ran after her, causing her to run into the newly painted wall.
We had so much fun that day.
I wish we could have many memories like that again.
I looked at my iPhone and decided it was time for bed.
I woke up the next day at 1:00 pm.
Simon said the taxi would be here in 2 hours.
I lugged all my stuff and boxes downstairs.
I went to the bathroom to clean my braces.
I heard a honk from outside and looked out the window.
I ran downstairs and took one last look at my house. The cab driver helped me put all my stuff in the cab and then we hopped in.
