"Heart!" A single voice. All I could see was the darkness around me. "HEART!" The voice became louder. The world around came into the light and I could tell where I was. I was at a gate. There was just air and the sky around me and I appeared to be standing on a cloud. At the top of the gate, there was two men with wings. One appeared to be in his 40s and had soft eyes. The other was closer to my age and had deep brown hair and appeared to be very fit. The younger boy flew down to me. He stood between me and the gates and said, "I'll see you later. I promise I will explain everything." And just like that I was jolted awake in a sweat. The only thing on my mind was the dream. Who was that boy? Who was that man? Where was I? I guess it was only dream. I jumped out of my bed and I walked down the stairs to my kitchen. The kitchen was usually quiet when I got up on weekends. I went to fridge and poured myself something to drink and then sat down at the table. As I took my first sip, I heard a voice. This voice was not like the voice I heard in the darkness. "Heart." I felt a breeze go by. "Heart!" The voice got louder and the breeze became a wind. The wind began to make a shape in the air in front of me. "Mom!" I screamed. No answer. The wind got stronger. "MOM!" A single chill went up my spine. "She's not going to respond," the voice said. The wind around me got faster. "Where is she?" I screamed to the voice as I stood up with both hands on the table. The wind started to become painful to be in and knocked over my drink. "She's..." The voice went silent. The wind stopped. "Gone," the voice whispered. The wind stirred up but went to one spot and started to form a silhouette of a boy. The silhouette became more life like and detailed. I took a step closer. The features became lifelike and then suddenly it was no longer wind. "It's... you." The boy from dreams appeared in the wind. "Yes, my name is Daniel. I'm your guardian angel." I probably had the dumbest look on my face. "What is a guardian angel and why do I have one?" I asked, unsure if I actually wanted the answer. "I am your protector. I watch you from afar and make sure you don't come in contact with any unwanted company. As for why I am who I am, there's more about you I need to tell you about." He took me back to the table and sat down with me. "Heart, you're not totally human. You're half human and half angel." I sat there in shock. A little devil like me is actually part angel. "And my mother is the angel?" I asked. "No. I was sent to protect you by your father. I'm really not suppose to be talking to because I am only a junior protector but this would've been an unfair experience for you," he said as he put both of his hands onto the table. "What would've been unfair?" "You're mother was taken back to your father and you aren't allowed to leave Earth yet." "Where did they take her?" "Paradise," he responded. I felt anger and sadness mall at once. "Where the heck is paradise?" I asked, gritting my teeth. "A place you'll soon be able to go to leave Earth," he said. And then the world went dark.
