He was the boy everyone had warned you about. Purposely cut shirts and ripped jeans. He had that rugged look, that... dangerous look. At school he sat in the very back of the lunch room with his three other friends. You didn't know much about him, but you craved him. His mysterious smirk, his light stubble, the way he would always dye his hair different colors. You found yourself staring at him and biting your lower lip, he noticed and winked at you sending shivers throughout your body. The lunch bell rang and you dashed off to your next class.
The rest of the school day went by fast, all you could do was think of this boy. A boy who had gone to your school for awhile, but had just noticed you. After school you walked out into the parking lot to find your car but stopped to chat with one of your friends for a bit.
"Hey, what's up?" You asked her.
She grabbed your arm and pulled you closer to her before she whispered, "Y/N don't act like you don't know what's up! The whole school is talking. Michael has been asking around about you..."
"What's wrong with that and why are we whispering?!" You yanked your arm away and shot her a dirty look.
"Oh, oh no. Don't tell me you're interested in him. He's bad news. He's what you would call a bad boy." She looked concerned.
You weren't really a 'good girl' yourself except when you were at school and at home you were a completely different person. The only reason why you acted like a good girl at school had been because your parents were well known through out the campus and you had to hold up the good name.
"Maybe I am interested in him. Maybe I have been for awhile." You walked away from her and headed to your car.
Just as you opened the door to your car you felt a tap on your shoulder and you turned around. It was Michael.
"Hey babe, what's up" He said giving you a cheeky wink while biting the side of his lower lip.
"I was just getting ready to leave, what about you?" You shot him a half smirk and ran the tips of your fingers down his chest causing him to take a deep breath.
"I was just coming over to introduce myself, I'm Michael." He reached out his hand for you to shake.
"Oh, the bad boy has manners." You winked at him.
"I'm not really that bad," He laughed a little, "let me show you tonight. Meet me at the park by the lake at 10pm tonight."
"I'll have to sneak out.." You were unsure, you've snuck out before but never to see a guy.
"Is that a problem?" He raised an eyebrow.
"No, I'll be there." You got in your car and looked up at him.
"See you tonight babe." He said winking and shutting your car door.
While you were at home you thought of what to wear, how you would fix your hair, and how you would wear your makeup. At 8pm you hopped in the shower and got out at 9. You dried your hair, put on some powder foundation and mascara, and laced your lips with a mint and honey lip balm. As for what you were going to wear, you decided to wear some jeans, a loose tank top, and a light army jacket. You slipped on your shoes and quietly climbed out your bedroom window and started walking to the park.
When you got there you could see the moon light glisten off the water. You looked around for Michael, you seen him sitting under the old weeping willow tree, your favorite tree to sit under whenever you were at the park. You walked over, he got up off the ground to greet you,
"Hey Y/N. I'm glad you could make it. Here, give me a sec and then you can sit down." He walked behind the tree and got a blanket and spread it out on the ground and sat on it patting a spot beside him.
"Wow... This, this is so sweet..." You were in awe as you took a seat beside him.
"Wait, it gets sweeter," He turned and took a small daisy from the pocket of his jean jacket, "I picked this for you before you got here.. It reminded me of you." He moved your hair aside and gently placed the flower behind your ear.
"Perfect." He said softly.
You took his hand, "Tell me why everyone says your such a bad boy?"
He took a deep breath and looked down, "I tend to be hard and emotionless with people... It's not that I am. It's just that I'm scare to get close to anyone. I distance myself from feeling anything for anyone, because when I feel something for someone they leave me..."
You didn't know what to say but tried to think of something
"Funny how people say they care about you and leave you like it's nothing. It takes a toll on the heart and mind." He looked up at the moon while saying this.
"You ever hear the story about the sun and the moon?" He asked
"No, I haven't" You replied.
"The moon and the sun were young. The moon was a sad lost boy and the sun was a beautiful cheerful girl. One moment in time the moon and the sun were in the sky together. To the moon the sun said, 'I want to hold your hand, but I am the sun and you and the moon... and we will never collide.' This didn't hurt the moon though, he always had hope that they would collide one day and just knowing the sun existed kept him happy. He knew he would get a glimpse of her every now and then even though she seemed so far away."
"That's a beautiful story..." You were speachless.
"We're like the moon and the sun you know... The only difference is that we've finally collided and we're able to hold hands..." He said this looking in your eyes.
You moved closer to him and the two of you kissed. You felt your heart beat faster.
"You, my sun, are so bright and beautiful." He said to you.
"And you, my moon, are not as bad as everyone says." You brushed his cheek lightly with the back of your hand.
"You better get home, I'll walk you" He said as you both got up. You both folded the blanket and walked out of the park holding hands.
