Chapter 5

Tori didn't know what to think. //My Arthur, no Felix killed someone?!?! H-He nearly killed me as well! I-I have to call the police// She picked up her cellphone. "T-Tori! Please don't! I just wanted to live a normal life!" He looked at the ropes, he had been working on the knot while he was telling his story. "I-I'm sorry." He finally got the last knot done. "I-I never wanted to hurt you." His vision started to go black and he went limp. "A-Arthur?" Tori knelt down in front of him only to be greeted with a pair of hands around her throat once more. "Y-YoU lEfT mE nO cHoIcE." He grinned as she slowly lost conscious. Something in him stopped him from killing her. He let go of her and fled from the house. //I'm sorry Tori//. He ran into the woods and didn't stop running until his legs wouldn't let him continue. Arthur laid down in the grass under a tree and passed out. He woke up, screaming in pain. Looking down at his leg, he saw a mountain lion ripping flesh from his leg. He kicked it and tried to back away only to back into the tree. The wildcat slashed out at him, slicing through his neck. He panicked for a second before relaxing. //Maybe this is a good thing. If I die, I can't hurt anyone else.//  He closed his eyes and let himself bleed out. As the last fragments of live faded out to him, he smiled.

He opened his eyes to see nothing but white. All of the pain was gone and he was standing up. A figure was walking towards him. "A-Amber?" He stepped back. "I-I am so sorry." Amber walked up to Arthur and put a hand to his face. "It's ok. What happened wasn't your fault." She kissed his cheek. "I missed you so much. I always hoped you didn't forget about me." Arthur was crying as he was pulled into a hug. "I-I love you Amber" He smiled and pulled away, holding her hand. Together once more, they walked into the light.
