Extalias past

I am Extalia and this is the story of my beginning.

Malya's POV
' its time' I thought to myself as I went to find my mate, Falco. I was nearing the entrance of the den when Falco came running up to me. I looked into his frantic eyes and calmly said. "It's time they're coming". The moment the words left my mouth his face went from frantic to extatic then back to frantic. I heard him mutter something akin to " dammit, they had to come today". Confused by his words I asked, "why, is something wrong". " Yes the Arctic pride just attacked our borders and they're gaining ground". I was about to respond when I felt my first contraction. "Ahhh " I screamed. "Falco they're coming NOW the kits they're COMING ..... Ahhhhh " I fell to the ground in a panting wheezing heep. Falco began panicking. "Fal- ahhg *pant pant* Falco go get nnnghhh go get Paradise I think she- ahhg she's at the falls, hurry please" Falco bolted out of the den towards the falls, where my mothers den was located. "I hope they get here in time" I said to myself.
          Time skip a few minutes later
'They're to late ' I thought to myself as I went into labor. The birthing took about thirty minutes and in those thirty minutes I gave birth to a boy and two girls, however the boy seemed to be very small and weak, and one of the girls had stripes that made her look like, my mother, Paradise. The other female cub appeared to be protecting her brother from something, but as I looked around I saw no immediate threats. So I continued examining the Cubs, the protective little female began to growl. 'I suppose it's time to name them'. " The tiger striped female will be named Naruko, the small male will be named Conan, the last female will be named..." just as I was about to name her a large male lion burst into the den snarling. " Who are you" I asked the unknown intruder. "I am Freeze, leader of the Arctic pride and who are you" he said with a malicious tone.  "I am Malya, dominant lioness of the Toxic pride" I answered him whilst curling my tail protectively around my Cubs. "And am I right to say that those are your Cubs?" He asked with a sly smile. "Yes they are". As soon as he heard this, he lunged at me knocking me away from the Cubs. The still unnamed female stood in front of her siblings as though to protect them from the enemy. " hahaha aren't you a brave little cub" the lion said inching closer to the Cubs. " but being brave means nothing, you can't even see me so how are you going 'protect' your siblings".

No ones POV
As the words left his mouth the young lioness smirked and opened her eyes as though to mock him. The Cubs mother and the intruder were shocked to say the least. "How can that be this cub was only just born" the intruding lion muttered to himself. "What was that about 'not being able to see, to protect my siblings' hmmm" the young lioness practically growled with malice, as she got into a fighting stance and lunged at the lion before her. She sank her rigid, untrained claws into the males face , creating a large gash. The intruding male swatted her away. Angered that this cub had actually injured him he advanced on the two now unprotected Cubs. He lashed out grabbing the small male in his jaws and slowly crushing him. The unnamed lioness, upon hearing her brothers pained whimpers, was enraged. She shot to her paws, and ignoring the pain, leapt at the male who was killing Conan. In her fit of rage she tore out the intruders throat, leaving him dead. Conan who was still in the males, now slack, jaws whimpered once more before going limp. Naruko, who had been slowly crawling towards her dying brother, began to open her eyes only to be greeted with the gruesome image before her. The young lioness carefully dragged her brothers corpse away from the jaws that murdered him, and laid him by Naruko. The young lioness, Naruko and their mother weeping all the while.

Falco's POV
'Almost there' I thought to myself as we neared the den. "Wait" I ordered, "somethings wrong I smell blood".  Thinking the blood belonged to my mate, I quickly ran in followed by Paradise. When I entered the den I gaped at the sight that lay before me. My mate and three Cubs two of which were coated in blood and one looked to be a... tiger? Completely and utterly irked I asked "what happened here" suddenly gaining their attention. One of the blood coated Cubs looked at me and got into a fighting stance then said, " Are you here to hurt my siblings too" hate seething from the young females voice. " calm down that's your father he's not going to hurt you, or Naruko" I heard Malya tell the cub. Malya then turned to looke at me and said " the leader of the Arctic pride came into the den while I was naming the Cubs, after asking if the Cubs were mine he lunged at me and I was sent flying towards the back of the den. This young lioness here" she said motioning to the blood coated female' " was stand in front of Naruko and Conan , protecting them. The intruder mocked her because she had yet to open her eyes. After he said this she smirked and her eyes flew open as she got into a fighting stance and asked ,'what was that about 'not being able to see, to protect my siblings', then she lunged at him cutting his face. Enraged by this he swatted her away and she hit the ceiling. He stared to stalk towards the others and he picked Conan up in his jaws and started to slowly crush him. Conan started to whimper in pain. The little female , hearing this, got up from were she had been thrown and attacked the intruder tearing his throat out". I looked at the small female and the large lion she had slain. " have you named her yet" Paradise asked. "No i haven't" Malya replied. "May I name her then" Paradise inquired. "Of course you can mom" Malya exclaimed.

Young lioness POV

Hmm I wonder what my name will be' I thought to myself. " your name will be Extalia!!" Paradise exclaimed with a smile upon her face. "How can you even stand to smile" I asked her darkly. " what do you mean" she asked. "I MEAN THAT MY BROTHER WAS JUST KILLED AND I HAD TO KILL A LION SO HOW COULD YOU BE SMILING RIGHT NOW" I screamed at her. She was taken aback by my sudden outburst. My father came towards me and I instinctively moved to protect my mother and liter-mate. "I understand how you must be feeling right now but at least you and Naruko are still alive" my mother said soothingly. Remembering my injuries I began to glow with a faint light. Once the light disappeared my small cuts were gone and so was the pain I had felt in my back after hitting the ceiling. The adults looked at me with confusion written all over their faces. Ignoring them I walked closer to my mother to heal her wounds as well. She began to glow with the same faint light as I had only seconds before. As the light died down she exclaimed with renewed strength, " My injuries I can't feel them any more they're completely gone!" I began feeling very faint and just before I passed out I heard paradise say to herself, " Extalia, she is the Protector Elite"
