The Crash

As I leave Angie grabs my arm and pulls me back in. "Ya can't go out at da night time."

"Why not." She was psycho and I didn't trust her.

"In da night de demons come out. Ya must stay inside. Or go outside and die. It's ya choice." WHAT... She must have been trying to scare me.

"Uh, ok. Been nice talking with but I'd better be going." I was tense with fear.

"Yeah sure, ya can take meh car if ya want to, but be aware of da demons." She threw me some keys and pointed at a dark corner of the room. It took me a moment to realize the door was halfway behind an empty bookcase.

I shifted, putting my weight onto one my left leg. "No. There is no damn way I'm going through that door."

"Hey it was an offer. Ya can take it or leave it." She nodded towards the door. "Ya gonna go?"

"Fine." She smiled and laid her hand across my back, guiding me to the dark corner where the door to the garage was located.

"Good luck, girlie. Hope ya make it home." She smiled opening the door and shoving me through. I looked at my feet and slowly made my way down the steps.

"Bye, girlie! Miss ya already." She giggled falling backwards and catching herself just before she hit the ground.

"Uh yeah, sure. Bye." I for sure didn't want to stay over night with a psycho, and I didn't want to go outside on a stormy Saturday. All alone. With only a Dodge Grand Caravan between me and the outside. And according to Angie there were demons in this forest.

I got into the van and started the engine. I sighed looking at the dashboard covered in dust. I wiped it clean with my sleeve. The garage door swung open and Angie poked her head out. "Bye girlie-e-e-e." She repeated the e over and over again until I shouted at her to shut up.

"Wow am I ever offended," she laughed harshly. "Ya had better get going before they start to come out. God save ya if bad happens. Good bye-e-e."

I drove out of the garage and headed down her driveway. I decided to go look for Ash. He could be looking for me right now or at home watching Netflix.

I sat listening to music on 104.9 Vergin Radio as I drove down the country side road. A deer shot across the street. I screamed and swerved the van. The Caravan slid to the edge of the gravel road and into the ditch. I pushed on the gas as hard as I could. The van shot up in the air and landed back on the gravel road.

I froze. Breathing heavily I gently placed my foot on the gas. The car slowly drove forward. The music was still blasting and I settled down.

I kept driving, but kept an eye out for any more animals. I sat listening to the music and carefully examining the forest surrounding me.

My favourite song, Fergilcious, came on and I started tapping my fingers on the steering wheel. Soon enough I was full out dancing to the song. "T to the A to the S-T-Y girl you so tasty!" The music was so loud.

I screamed into the air bag as it curled around me. I pulled my hands off the wheel and pushed the air bag off. I looked over the top of the air bag to see what I had hit. Smashed into my van was a red Audi that looked exactly like Ash's car.

A dark figure ran to the van. I screamed. Thinking fast I shoved the door out at them. The figure tumbled backward and fell.

"HEY! IS SOMEONE THERE?!" I recognized the voice. It sounded like Ash.

"Who are you?!" The figure pushed himself to his feet and walked towards me.

"Uh, it depends if you know me? The names Ash." Really... "Ash Cutler." OMG! Thank God!

"OH MY GOD ASH!" I jumped out of the Caravan and ran into his arms.

"Amy. I-I-I'm so sorry. I can't help it. My-My-My family is, uh, different.?"

"It's okay. You just kinda scared me to death and then DITCHED ME ON THE SIDE THE ROAD. ALONE, IN A CREEPY FOREST!" I glared at him. I swelled with anger. He looked shocked.
"I can't believe it. You left me and drove away."

"Look, I am so glad you're so alive. I just can't control my emotions. When I gat mad." He tipped his head down. I wrapped my arms back around him.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you. I, didn't know." I sighed and held him close.
