I stomped off the train as fast as I could with my small backpack bouncing between my shoulders. When my feet hit gravel I looked for somebody else I could go with up to the castle. It was then that I spotted three heads. A tall ginger one, and shaggy black haired one, and a long frizzy ugly brown one. I jogged up to meet them and slipped between Harry and Ron. "Hello boys! Lovely evening isn't it?" I said linking arms with them. They just started laughing and Granger was sending me a evil glare. "Maybe you should take a picture Granger, it'll last longer." I said winking at her. She pouted and sped over to walk with Neville. "So why were you laughing when I walked up?" I asked nudging both of them. When they finally stopped laughing Harry spoke up. "First of all that was rude you should apologize." "Bu-" I started. "No, let me finish, and Hermione was just talking about how much she, and I quote, hates your stupid stuck up Slytherin butt." Harry continued. "I'm not apologizing." I mumbled. "Good don't then. Oh look the carriages are here." Ron said pointing to the carriages let by those weird, yet friendly, skeleton horse things. The three of us all jumped up inside and Neville and Granger followed. The carriage jolted forward and we moved steadily towards the castle when we heard a shout from behind us. We turned to see Draco with his blonde hair all disheveled and he was panting. "Olivia! Wait!" I turned around so I was facing the front of the cart. We continued on to the castle in silence.
I was sitting between Harry and Ron at the Gryffindor when a booming voice filled the Great Hall. "Would Olivia Carter please return to her house table for dinner." I looked up at Dumbledore and saw that everybody was staring at me. I stood up and grabbed my bag. The room was so silent that you could hear a pin drop. I lifted both of my hands, flicked everybody of, and apparated out of the Great Hall. When I opened my eyes I was standing in my room. I flicked my wrist and Angel and Demon came bounding out of their crates, Cassie swooping in the air above them. I layed down in my bed and my kittens hopped up with me and Cassie landed next to my head on the head board. I was scratching Angel behind her ear while Demon was attacking her tail. I heard a pop and looked up to find Dumbledore standing in the middle of the room. "Wassup Albus" I said with a head nod. He scowled at me. "You know you can't call me that in front of the other students. And now the entire school knows of your power because of that little stunt. You know how long and hard I've worked to keep it a secret." Dumbledore said. He knew it would get to me because I was feeling guilty. "I'm sorry Dumbledore, I just hate the house stereotype. I can be friends with whoever I want. Just because I'm in Slytherin doesn't mean I can't be friends with a Gryffindor." I pouted. "I know." Dumbledore said. "But right after your big stunt you missed the big announcement." I looked at him confused. "What big announcement?" I asked sitting up straight. "That we will be hosting the Triwizard Tournament this year." He informed me. My eyes widened. "Your kidding me? Right !?" I asked excited. "No the students from the other schools will be arriving next week." He said. "What schools?" I asked excitedly. "Beautunboux and Durmstrang." My happiness faltered when in heard that. "Durmstrang? Wasn't Karkoroff a death eater? Won't he be after Harry?" I asked thinking of all the things that Voldemort had sent after Harry these past few years. "Yes I was worried about that, until professor Snape informed me that Karkoroff is completely harmless." I let out a sigh of relief, I trusted Snape. "Oh and we have a new defense against the dark arts teacher." Dumbledore said completely chasing the subject. "Who is it, Mad-Eye Moody?" I asked jokingly. "It's professor Moody to you Ms. Carter." I choked on my laughter. "You can't............be serious........Dumbledore." I managed between laughter. "Of course I'm serious. Classes will start tomorrow and here is your schedule. I heard a pop and a piece of paper floated in my lap. "Thanks Dumbledore." I said, but when I looked up he was gone. I sighed and put the paper on my dresser. I layed down and looked up at the fabric of my four poster. I felt my kittens curl up on the bed with me and heard Cassie fly up to the rafters in our room to sleep. I let my eyes slip closed and the sweet serenity of silence engulf me.
