Dear Diary,
The union won the war which I am grateful for my friends are now free and don't have to live a life of cruelty .When I look back at the war I see a country of fools not a country of the great. We lost family, friends and even enemies, brothers turning on brother, sister turning on sisters, mothers turning on their own child evil has taken place in our roots. Only thing we can do about it to forgive and give everyone a chance at being equal. America the land of right has none of it, if it did then we wouldn't have this ugly war full of bloodshed and bones. I decided now that I'll go back to the place I ran-away from and get a divorce so I can marry a man that I truly love and go back to see my brothers to give them a giant hug of love. I'm not sure what will happen to Texas it all relies on the people who live there to make a difference, I only hope that one day that Texas will be a state of equality, honest and good morals. I need to help this country to be back on its feet, it is my duty to my country to help it when it needs help, so I started to volunteer at the hospital to treat the sick, young, injured and old back to health. "A house divided against itself cannot stand." I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or all the other." Abraham Lincoln
