As Jenna stood in line between her mother, sister, and step father, she couldn't help but gaze around. Many people filled the rather small building, all waiting to board the ship. There were people of all ages, race, and style. Even different social class. Her leg seemed to bounce non-stop as she waited for Seamus to text her back. She finally felt the familiar buzz in her back right pocket as she eagerly grabbed her phone.
"I hope you're gonna put that damn phone down sometime this week" her step dad scolded her.
She mumbled "it's not like I'll have service in the middle of the ocean anyway"
She quickly typed a response to her friend, complaining about standing for so long and not wanting to go on the cruise in general. She felt self conscious in the white shorts she was forced to wear. She never wore shorts. Only leggings and skinny jeans. She wasn't exactly skinny anyway.
After about another two hours of bag checks, annoying loud speaker announcements and complaints, they finally made their way onto the large ship.
People of all ages filled the vessel. They wormed and (politely) shoved their way through the halls to find their room. The identical halls seemed like an endless maze. Jenna didn't know how in the world she would be able to remember he way back to the room. Little did she know, she would learn her way around the ship better than some of the staff
~three hours later~
Jenna left the dining hall as she made her way up to top deck. She leaned over the railing to take a look down at the murky waters below. Her phone buzzed in her pocket as a text from Seamus appeared on the screen. She didn't bother to read it as she focused more on the time. 3:59 said the bold numbers at the top of her screen. They were supposed to set sail at 4:00 apparently
Just as the clock on her phone hit 4:00, a loud horn sounded behind her. She jumped, nearly dropping her phone over the edge of the ship. She stepped away from the railing as she looked down to the lido deck. People leaned over the railings, whooping and hollering as the ship began to float away from the dock.
She spent most of the night exploring the ship. She discovered that the 9th deck was the lido deck. Dinner was on either the 2nd or 3rd deck, depending on what floor your cabin was on. There were staircases at the front and back of the ship, along with elevators as well. And floors 4-8 were all cabins.
She had heard from some kids that there was a certain under 18 club somewhere on the 3rd deck, but she had yet to find it.
She made her way back to her and her sisters cabin as the night came to a close. It was decided that she would spend the rest of the day tomorrow exploring the rest of the ship and trying to meet a friend or two.
And as she laid down in bed that night, she thought "maybe it won't be so bad"

Ah! Hello humans! Yes, it is I. I have returned from the horrible land of writers block, but first I had to pass through the sea of procrastination, which was very rough. But now I'm back on track and hoping to maintain weekly updates!
