Dean's PoV
Where am I? Was the first thought Dean had when he woke up. He knew where ever he was, it was cold, and bright.
"Sammy, turn the damn light off." He groaned, rolling over onto his side, only to find he was laying on sand. He sat up quickly, and looked at his surroundings. "The beach.. what the hell?" He asked to no one in particular.
Not even a minute later, he heard his name being shouted, and the faint barks off a dog. He turned around, and saw his father, and little brother running toward him.
Dean sat up, squinting his eyes at the brightness of the late morning sun. He opened them fully, and came face to face with a golden retriever. "Bones!" He heard Sam shout, as their family dog jumped on Dean, causing him to fall over. He laughed loudly, peting Bones happily until he saw the angry and worried face of his father standing over him.
Dean got up quickly, and frowned, "Where were you? Me and Sam have been looking for you all morning!" His father scolded, pointing a finger to Sam as he approached them.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry, but... I don't know what happened. I just remember not being able to sleep, so I went for a walk, and then I woke up on the beach." He explained, scratching his head as he looked up at his father.
John nodded, and sighed, before pulling Dean into a warm hug. "It's alright, son. Just.. don't scare me like that. I've already lost your mother, I can't loose you, too." He stated, only loud enough for Dean to hear.
Dean nodded, and pulled away after a moment, looking down to Sam. "Dean, you scared the living hell outta me! You jerk." His brother groaned, moving to hug Dean tightly.
Dean smiled, "Sorry, bitch." He replied, hugging him back just as tight.
John smiled at his sons, and looked down at his watch. "Alright, you two. Missouri is making breakfast and you know she hates when we're late." John stated, a loving smile on his face as he began the walk back to their house.
Missouri was Johns' current girlfriend. If you can even call it that. John hasn't actually asked her to be his girlfriend, but by the way he acts around her, it's obvious he wants to. Missouri is the only women John has been with since Mary, Sam and Deans' mother. But if Missouri makes John happy, then Dean can't complain, even if he doesn't like the idea of John moving on from their mother.
Dean nodded, and pulled away from Sam, only to pick him up, and throw him over his shoulder. "Hey! Lemme down!" Sam shouted, beating on Deans back, but he could hear the laughter in his little brothers' voice.
Dean smiled, and shook his head, "Nope." He said, simply, continuing to walk behind their father. Sam eventually gave up, and let Dean carry him back.
Dean soon stopped at their front door, and let Sam down, before entering the house to be hit with the smell of eggs, and bacon.
Missouri alway made breakfast for them, even if that meant her being here at five am every morning. She loved to feed the three of them.
Dean hurried to the kitchen, where John was already sat, drinking out of a mug of coffee. Dean smiled, and sat down across from him, beginning to pile his plate with food as Sam came in and sat next to him. Missouri smiled at them, and finished what she was doing, before coming to sit next to John.
They ate breakfast in silence, and Dean was glad it was a Saturday. Hopefully he could go for a swim, or play Frisbee with Sam. He loved playing by the water with him.
Little did he know that he would end up meeting the blue eyed merman again, tonight.
