The memory is still as clear as day. The strange urge that told me to go in the bathroom, the razor that was on the floor in front of my feet, the blood that was dripping from one wrist to the floor and blood from her other wrist mixing with the water creating a soft pink. I remember daddy crying as he panicked while on the phone with a 911 operator. I was confused then, after all it was supposed to be a happy day. I was turning eight and mommy said we could have a girls day, but that didn't happen, and it could never happen now.
