Nate's hands trembled as she held onto the blue water bottle. 'This is Miss Loft's bottle...'

Days in the city was always unbearably hot so the school set up water dispensers in every hallway. Nate particularly loves to visit and linger around the one placed at the second floor hall way for a reason. It is beside Miss Loft's classroom and being near as it was, it was where the first grade teacher refills her water bottle.

She feels so lucky at the moment that the teacher forgot to get her water. Her eyes glimmered. She opened it carefully and stared at the mouth of the bottle. She licked her lips then drank all of the water. She refilled the bottle immediately with water. She quickly hid behind the trash bin at the sound of Miss Loft's door opening.

"Ah. There it is."

She smiled to herself. 'Drink! Drink!'

"Ahem. Young lady, you should be in class," a firm voice commanded.

She shrieked. "M-Mr. Gibson!" 'Of all people!' she grumbled internally as she thought of excuses to the History teacher who happens to be her rival with Miss Loft.

To her embarrassment, Miss Loft lingered to see what was going on.

"Nathanielle? What are you up to?" Miss Loft asked with her usual serious face. It was not new to the teacher that the eighth grade student would often wander near her doorstep.

Mr. Gibson smiled sweetly. "It's okay, Miss Loft. I'll take care of her."

Miss Loft just gave a curt nod and turned back towards her room. She opened her bottle to take a swig.

"You're in big trouble, Missy. Come with me."

"It's fine. It's fine. Just drink up," Nate muttered, eyes glued on Miss Loft.

Water trickled from the side of Miss Loft's lips as she gulped a good volume of water.

'I could die right now!' Nate thought overjoyed.

"Nathanielle!" Mr. Gibson barked making the poor girl trip.

"Here."

She looked up to see Ms. Loft offering a hand with a smile on her face.

She smiled back and took the hand. "I'm in paradise..."

The teacher chuckled and nodded towards a scowling Mr. Gibson. "Better come back to reality."

She blushed and shyly thanked Ms. Loft. A groan escaped her lips when Mr. Gibson called her again. "Ack. I'm really in trouble."
