Chapter 1 - The Day It All Happened

Lucy's POV                                       "Finally, we're back from our job but thanks to somebody we didn't get our reward because the town was practically destroyed after the fight!", I screamed at Natsu. "Aye Sir!", Happy commented. "Sorry Luce, it's not like I did it on purpose.", Natsu whined.

Natsu's POV
Lucy sighed as she just started mummuring to herself about how she needed the reward to pay for her rent. I wasn't even listening anymore after I smelt food a mile away. I whispered to Happy about smelling the food and wanting to surprise her with food to cheer her up. "You like her!", Happy said while rolling his tongue. I whispered a no I don't but I can easily feel the heat rising to my cheeks. Me and Happy slowly tiptoed away from Lucy, trying not to make a sound.

Lucy's POV
Half way through mummuring to myself I noticed that Natsu and Happy were missing. I started freaking out until I saw someone, Sting my ex-boyfriend. He just came over to me and we started to talk. "Hey Sting, what brings you here to Magnolia?", I asked. "Hey baby, oh I'm here on a job request to help find some random thing.", Sting answered nonchalantly. Seriously I don't even know why I dated him. "Oh, but it's not like you to be alone on a job request, especially without Lector.", I answered. "Yah I was originally with Lector, Fosche and Rogue but I got lost half way and can't seem to remember the name of my hotel.", Sting answered proudly like he won a medal. Again why did I even date him. "Ah, like how you usually go missing.", I whispered under my breath. "You know baby, I've been thinking about you, about us.", he said with his face just inches away from mine. I just stood there speechless wanting to push him away but frozen not being able to do anything but stare. He slowly inched closer and closer until our lips touched, feeling his warm lips against mine I liked it but I knew this was wrong. I was about to push him away but he held my wrists, deepening the kiss. As we started French kissing, I heard a familiar voice call my name.I stared in shock as Natsu came running over with Happy smiling in excitement holding a plastic bag. But the moment Natsu saw us his face fell like a little boy witnessing the end of the world, he looked like he might kill someone but at the same time seemed like he was gonna cry. He walked over opening his mouth to say something but was stopped by three voices screaming for Sting like they were looking for a lost puppy. Sting finally let me go, smirking as he ran towards his friends screaming, "Thanks for the kiss baby." I just stared into space wishing that this was all just a nightmare. I didn't want to look at Natsu in the eye but I did, knowing that I had to explain. But when I saw him he was looking at the floor, he threw the bag on to the floor like it was a piece of trash telling me that he would be at the guild if I needed him, calling Happy to follow him. I just stood there all alone, it all happened so fast. I went to pick up the plastic bag and noticed that there was a slice of cake, in fact it was my favourite cake luckily it was not damaged. And so I started heading for home holding the plastic bag in my arms when all of a sudden it started raining, it was like the sky knew how I was feeling.

Natsu's POV
I couldn't believe what I saw, I felt like crying but I held back the tears. "Natsu......", Happy called right beside me. "I'm okay buddy, I'm okay.", I answered my little buddy knowing what he was gonna say. It was starting to rain but we kept walking back to the guild and I sat in the corner of the room with the scene that happened earlier replaying in my mind. I could hear Gray calling me to start a fight but I didn't care.

Gray's POV
I noticed Natsu siting in the corner of the guild, so I thought that I would call him to start a fight but he didn't answer me.
