The whole hall was buzzing. Everyone was so psyched about valentines day. We saw people taking selfies with their valentines, chewing chocolates and not surprisingly kissing.
Then Mike walks towards us.
"Hey beautiful valentine, what's up?" He says looking directly at Jenny.
"I'm cool babe." She replies and branches away from us to walk with Mike.
Wait a second! If Jenny isn't Brian's valentine, who is? I ask myself. Maybe it was Isabelle. Isabelle is like the weirdest kid in school.
"Who is your valentine?" I ask.
"You'll see," he says.
I'm sure that if it was a cool girl, he wouldn't hesitate to shove it in my face, but he didn't and that must make the girl a lame girl. Simple mathematics.
"I reckon its Isabelle," I say in a mocking tone.
"No ways man!" Brian shouts back.
"You like Isabelle, you like Isabelle...." I chant. (I know what I'm doing is childish but if you knew what Brian has done to me in the past, you would want me to chant more.)
Just then, I see Jezebel approaching.
"Hi val," she says as she approaches us.
Oh my gosh, I'm her val!! Yippee!! I guess I gotta break the bad news to Layla, she would be heart broken, oh well, you win some you lose some.
"Hi bhae," Brian says.
"You looking pretty,"
"Oh thanks, you look great to val."
Am I missing something here? Brian is Jezebel's val?? Jezebel is Brian's val!! I feel so betrayed. and i'm usually good at mathematics.
"Brian, is she your valentine?" I ask hoping to hear a no.
"Yeah she is, who likes Isabelle now." He says mimicking me.
"W.T.F mahn." I'm sure Jezebel has no idea what that meant.
"I feel so hurt mahn, you've betrayed me. Urgh!! You were the same person who told me not to ask her and then you go and ask her? Fuck you!" Now that Jezebel understood.
"Hey whatsup guys, don't argue on Val's day." She says.
"Urgh!!" I say.
Layla and I make our way to class leaving Brian and Jezebel behind.
