Chapter 1: Last day of school

*Janessa's POV*

I woke up to my phone blasting 'Wake Me Up When September Ends.' I roll over to fall on the floor flat on my butt. I get up and go to my dresser to pick out some clothes for today. Since it is the last day of school and it's hot outside I picked out a plain white tank top that had two flowers where the chest is supposed to be. I picked out a pair of low rise acid washed shorts and some underwear with my grey bralette. I go into my bathroom to shower. I make my hair wet and then out on my strawberry shampoo. I wash it out then I turn my water off and put conditioner in my hair. Then I wash my body with soap. I was my body and leave the conditioner in my hair to keep it soft; I shave my legs with my razor. I wash my body to make sure there is no soap left, then I wash my hair to remove the conditioner. Once I'm all clean I step out of the shower and grab my towel and dry my body. I take my other towel and wrap it around my head. I go back into my room and change into my clothes. I brush my hair and blow dry it. Then I do my makeup which is just powder, mascara, and pencil eyeliner at my water line. I walk downstairs to see my best friend Gabriella and my boyfriend Caleb, who is her brother. I see my mom, dad, and my little sister talking and eating with them. My older brother, Ken comes out of his room and walks with me. He's one grade higher than me so he's a junior but next year he'll be a senior and I'll be a junior. I sit down with them at the table and we talk for a while until my dad tells us we have to go to school. We leave the house at 7:20 and get in Kens car and we arrive at school at 7:30. Ken goes to his friends and one of them, Gabe, comes up to me; he's like another other brother to me. He hugs me and ask Caleb and I if we need a condom. My brother just slaps him.

"It's fine Ken. It's not like we're gonna use it," Caleb assures my brother.

"Good," my brother and Gabe tells us.

"Ok bye guys," I tell Gabe and Ken as I push them away. They finally leave and I talk to my friends until the bell rings. I go to my first class which is English. I really like that class because it's fun and today we are playing board games and watching a movie. It's a really chill day today.

*skip to lunch*

"Guys it's almost the end of the school year." We all cheer because that means two more periods besides our free period which is after lunch but for some people it's before lunch but for us it's after lunch.

My other friends come and Jacob plays some music for us because he does it all the time at lunch. We just talk about what we're gonna do after school today. We decided to go to Kens friend, Sean's house party.

*end of the day*
The bell rang releasing us for the last time this year. We all met up at the taco shop a block away from the school. It was like the after school hang out for us. We all ate and just talked. Then the guys went to Jacobs house to hang out and play video games while us girls went to my house to get ready. Our other friend Amanda came with us. She's about an inch or two shorter than me and has really pretty green eyes with specks for grey in them. She has a really nice sense of style and amazing short hair reaching her shoulders; even thought it's short it really suits her. Gabriella is an inch shorter than me and has long straight black with brown highlights. She's really funny and really caring.

They have been to my house a bunch of times. Amanda is currently in my bathroom showering while Gabriella is doing her makeup since she showered when we got to my house. While they are getting ready, I'm getting my bag ready for the last practice of the season. I have cheer practice so I'm wearing my cheer outfit and put my hair in a high pony and I tell the girls in leaving. They've been to my house since we were 5 so hey know where everything is. I left for practice.

*one hour later*
Practice just finished and I'm on my way home with Gabe because he's on the football team so he gave me a ride like he always does. My brother and his friends are the 'popular kids' at school. So if anything happens to me, they are there to stick up for me. They're know to fight and get in trouble but they're actually pretty good kids. 

I get home and it's 5:30 and the party doesn't start until 8:00 so I went into my room to see the girls laying on my bed watching 'Dance Moms.' I pick out my outfit which is a red cocktail dress that had a low cut in the front and stops mid-thigh. It was gonna be like all those other parties we've been to, so it's nothing new. I get into the shower and do my usual. I get out and dry up then I wrap a towel around my head and put my clothes on. I leave the bathroom and go back to my room and do my makeup. Gabriella takes my hair out of the towel and blow dries it.

"Thanks Gaby. You didn't have to do it," I call her by her nickname.

"It's ok. I just wanted to help," she assured me.

Gaby is wearing a black dress that has no sleeves and a sweetheart neckline and stops mid-thigh.

Amanda is wearing a white long sleeve lace dress that stops mid-thigh and had a low cut back.

We all leave our hair straight but Gaby as to straighten it because she has wavy hair. My hair is naturally straight and so is Amanda's.

I do a smokey eye with my Naked pallet. But before that I put on foundation and concealer first. After I put my eyeshadow I put on my gel eyeliner on top. Then I put some blush to give my cheeks some color. To finish off the look I put some red lipstick. I don't know why I put all this makeup on if it's gonna sweat off in the end. It's about 6:45 so I go eat something because I was tired after practice. I eat some grilled cheese Amanda and Gaby left out. I go to the living room and watch some tv with them. It's about time to leave when the movie ends.

We have Josh, Sean's friend, drive us to the party since he lives across the street from us and he's on his way there. We arrive at Sean's house and we already hear the music from one block away and when we pull up there's a bunch of kids on the lawn with red cups in their hands.  We walk in and the smell of alcohol hits us immediately. It's going to be a long night.
