Hiding The Boy

Chapter 3

"Who is he?" my little brother asked.

I sighed relieved that it was Jake instead of one of my parents.
"Jake this is Dustin," I told him closing the door. "He'll be staying here for a while. But its a secret just me and you know ok?"

"Secweet?" he asked curiously. "But mommy and dada can know the secret too?"

"No Jake the only people that can know is me and you. Do you get it?"

"Uh huh yep yes."

Dustin chuckles behind me. "Hey kid." he greeted.

"I'm not kid I Jake." Jake stated.

"Oh yeah hey Jake."

"Hi! Me and mommy and dada went to the big store. Really big store it had carts that looked like racing cars and daddy let me ride in it when we shop. And I got new toys."

"Ok Jake why don't you go into the leaving room with mom and dad. And remember don't tell about Dustin."

"Ok can I call Dustin Dusty? Can I call you Dusty?" he asked Dustin.

"Sure you can Jake."

Finally Jake left.

"Ok...are you hungry?" I asked Dustin.

"Uh yeah I am bu-"

"No its ok. Lock the door and when you hear four knocks in a row open it cause its me,"I told him before he can protest.

"Ok."

I went downstairs. "Hey guys," I greeted my parents heading to the kitchen.

"Hey sweety we got you a box of rice. It's in the kitchen." my Mom said turning back to the movie her and my dad was watching.

"Ok thanks."

I got the box along with two plates and two sodas.
As soon as I got into my bedroom Dustin hurried to help me so I wouldn't drop anything.

"Uh thanks."I told him sitting down on my new after locking the door.

"No thank you." he said and gave me a small smile.

I just nodded and started to eat my rice while Dustin did the same. It was very good.
After we cleaned up and started getting ready for bed. I gave Dustin a new toothbrush to use and we laid in the bed. But far from each other if your thinking in another way.

"Goodnight Selena."

"Goodnight Dustin."

After all of the things that happened today the only thing that I could think of was...I didn't get my tape.
