When I woke up, I was in a strange room with old decor. I was propped up against a wall, and was facing a bed where a man slept. Even though his short hair was tousled from sleep, I could tell it was curly. Before I could do anything else, his watch beeped, waking him from slumber. I froze as he pulled his arm closer to his face.

"Wha is it? I'm sleepin." He mumbled, voice still groggy.

"I'm terribly sorry, Michael. But it appears there is someone else in your room." A proper voice replied. Who the voice belonged to, I didn't know. All I knew is that I was in trouble.

Taking a quick inventory, I found I still had my bag in my lap and my leather jacket. The man was out of bed at record speed, arms posed in a defensive position. He was obviously not wanting to fight, and I was just fine with that. I was not looking for a fight either.

I stood slowly with my hands raised after setting my bag down away from me. The man was startled, expecting me to put up some kind of fight.

"I am extremely sorry. I think there's been a misunderstanding. I was just at a coffee house then I woke up here. I don't know where I am, who you are, or how I got here." I started off right away before the strange man could give me any instructions. He didn't lower his hand, but his eyes gazed down to my backpack that was covered in band logos and lyrics.

"What's 'My Chemical Romance'?" was his first question.

Before I could reply with my memorized speech, the person who spoke through the watch spoke again.

"Michael! That surely can't be your first question when a woman appears in your motel room!"

Wait a second, this man looked familiar, and both of their voices. No, it can't be. How can this be possible?

"Michael Knight?" I asked warily.

Michael's face stayed the same, set in a poker face hiding his surprise. "How do you know my name?" He pushed the question.

"I know this is going to be hard to explain, but can you answer a quick question for me? I promise I'll answer any question I can."

"Fine, what is it?"

"What year is it?" I asked

Michael couldn't hide his surprise this time. "Umm, 1985"

I whispered a quiet "damn" under my breath. "It appears that I've time traveled. And jumped universes."

Michael then looked annoyed. "So you're from the future?"

"That's what I just said, yes."

"You're coming with me. We can talk over breakfast." He put his comlink up to his face. "KITT, we're going to breakfast. Be ready in 5."

I was confused, Michel took this surprisingly well.

He got dressed quickly in the bathroom, throwing on his normal jeans, leather jacket, and red shirt. I sat on the bed, rummaging through my bag to see what I had with. I had my laptop, iPhone, their charger counterparts, headphones, and some cash. Checking my phone, I was surprised to find it 100% charged, an had a signal.

"You ready to go?" He asked, leaning against the bathroom doorway.

"Yeah, let me put my things back in my bag," I said as I shoved everything back in my beloved bag. "Man, I sure could use a coffee right about now."

Michael raised his eyebrow. "You drink coffee?" He asked, straightening his back as he opened the door for me.

"Yeah, almost everyone in the 21st century does. Well, that's over 12. It also explains why I was at a coffee house before I got here."

He nodded, accepting the answer without a thought. I pulled my phone out of my bag, along with my earbuds. I put them in my ears as I turned on my music. I Don't Care by Fall Out Boy came on first, and I couldn't help but bob my head as Michael walked me to KITT.

As the song finished, I realized just how rude I was, seeing how I was in KITT and still haven't said a word.

"Sorry, just needed a song to cool my nerves."

"What is that?" Michael asked, eyeing it warily.

"My phone, but it also plays music, and I can read on it. It does lots more, but I'd rather not bore you with the details," I explained.

"Interesting, just how advanced is the technology in the 21st century?" I watched as KITT's voice display flashed.

"Seeing as this is a touchscreen phone, I'd say it's pretty advanced."

AN- I'm sorry this chapter is so short. I had more planned for it, but I typed the last part on my phone, and I completely forgot I was writing it.
