Daniel's POV
Are you kidding me? This is worse than Jasper's accident. Chloe's dad. Seriously world, seriously.
Chloe started crying. I automatically wrap my arms around her, burying my face in the crook of her neck.
"Don't cry." Chloe's dad whispers, reaching out to touch her. I flinch, making a fist. He moves back.
"W-Why." Chloe asks, not blinking.
"What do you mean, Chloe?" He asks, not understanding.
"Why do you care all of a sudden?" She gently moves my arms away. "The last time I was with you, it's not like you cared."
"Honey, I changed. Please, help me."
"That is what you said when you came running back to mom and I. Next thing I knew mom was in the hospital! How do I know I can trust you now?!" Chloe screams, tears threatening to fall.
Her Dad opens his mouth, closing it right after, knowing that she is right.
Chloe shakes her head, knowing that he will not change ever. I look between them, knowing that she doesn't want him here.
"Man, just leave." I shake my head, pointing my finger to the street.
I lead him towards it. I then see that Chloe got comfortable in the car.
"I don't know what to think." Chloe mumbled, looking out the window.
"Think happiness, everything that was supposed to happen turned out terrible, how about we go home, eat ice cream, and get ready for the next day of class tomorrow." I said with bits of hope.
And we drove off.
