Chapter 1

Meadows p.o.v

"Meadow! Get your ass out of bed or you're gonna be late!" I woke up to the lovely sound of my mother. It hit me that today was the first day of my sophomore year. Great.

My outfit wasn't very thought through, but I ended up wearing faded skinny jeans, a black crop top, and a white tank top underneath. My shoes were simple sneakers.

"All right, mom, see you after school." I said giving her a quick hug, and grabbing my bagel.

I hated the school bus, and had no one to drive me since I didn't have my license, so I normally walked. My best friend, Emily Treyton, lived closer to school so she would wait for me until I reached her house, and we would continue on together. "Hey Meadow!" I heard her call. I had been so lost nervous about school, I hadn't noticed I was so close to her. "Hey!" I replied back. She always had the best wardrobe. Today she was wearing a short, black summer dress, and tan sandals. She looked amazing, as usual.

"Ugh! I'm so nervous!" I heard Emily say, falling into step beside me.

"Yeah, so am I! I hope we have some of the same classes!" I said, getting even more anxious with every step. Our school came into view, along with lots of students headed in the front doors.

Most of the day went well. Emily and I didn't share any classes, which bummed me out, but I made it through half of the day. At lunch, we ran into each other and found our own corner in the cafeteria. We were in the last class of the school day, and I was in honors English. I sat in the back, listening to boring lectures with Mr. Gorog. Finally, I heard the bell ring. As everyone was rushing out of their seats, I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up and saw the most beautiful human ever. He had messy brown curls, green eyes, and a daring smile which brought dimples to his cheeks. "What's your name?" He asked me. "Um I- Meadow?" I replied.

"I'm Harry." He said smirking. "See you tomorrow." He walked out of the class, and I stood there, gawking and wondering if he talked to the wrong girl. I realized I was the only one left in the classroom, and quickly gathered my things, running out of the room.

When I was back at home in my room, I collapsed on my bed, thinking of Harry. Guys would never so much as glance at me, and I was confused as to why someone as attractive as Harry would talk to me. I had never dated anyone, or had my first kiss, so I was left thinking. Soon I drifted off to sleep.
