Kinney had only been in the presence of an android twice: once with Nansi, and alot of Iko. But now, on the streets of New Beijing he could sense the difference between the two worlds.
He had been requested to join the commonwealth's gaurd, when Cinder married Kai, and she moved back to the commonwealth. At first he Idea of a republic, the Lunar hierarchy was still in some ways corrupted.
He made his way to the palace. The streets were crowded with people, androids, and hover-craft. As he reached the palace, the crowd dispersed. He found himself in the palace gardens, and wondered around for a good thirty minutes, until, he was found by Cress and Throne, who had just announced their engagement. It seemed to be a tradition, that as soon as one couple got married, another was announcing their engagement.
