"Who is Nadine to you?"

It was a simple question that was asked by Robi Domingo. Among the huge crowd of supportive fans, James looked at the girl his arms were wrapped around and smiled. He thought back to where it all started, where and when their rollercoaster ride began, back to when the line between being just friends to something more became blurry.

They went from being just friends, to consistently saying that they were partners in crime, to being really close. Then it came to a point where it was so much more.

What they have was so much more than all those prolonged stares, all the constant show of subtle affection like those tickles and giggles, those times were worry was evident on their faces when one wasn't smiles and all and those times were their lips would curl up, painting a smile on their faces because they knew, they've always known, that they were right where they were supposed to be, with each other.

They both were given another chance in showbusiness. This time around, James knew what he wanted, unlike his pbb days were he was just confused and going with the flow, unsure of of what he really wanted. He knew that he needed the break, he wanted to make it big this time.

Nadine was tired and also unsure, unsure whether being a performer was what she really wanted. After all, she has been the the industry for a long time. She gave herself an ultimatum, if she doesn't get her big break soon, then maybe university life was for her.

Both would agree that Diary ng Panget was what catapulted them into their skyrocketing career, but they would also say that the Alam Niya Ba MV was when everything started.

"You should kiss me on the cheek."

Nadine's eyes widened, her heart skipping a beat. She turned her yes on her onscreen partner for the music video.

"You know, since we're a couple in the music video? Just for kilig purposes," James added. He saw how Nadine's eyes widened and how her cheeks turned pink. It was...adorable.

You should know, that at that moment, James didn't mean to make his onscreen partner feel uncomfortable, far from it. As he stated, it was only for the "kilig factor." And maybe, just maybe, it was also to soothe the tiny tiny tiny desire to feel her lips on him even if it was just his cheek.

January, 2015

The lights were dim as James walked into the venue. He looked around, trying to find at least a small clue to what his fans were up to. He was led to a stool by a woman. She was blabbing about how he must be wondering what the hell was happening and James's confused eyes were clearly sending what-the-hell signal. He sat on the stool and waited.

People started to come out of the stage, each with either a balloon, streamers or posters. James felt immense gratitude and happiness as he saw his fans fill up the stage. He couldn't help but touch his chest, for he was indeed touched.

The biggest surprise of all was when Nadine, his leading lady, popped out of nowhere, singing her heart out. James couldn't help but let out a chuckle, his heart filled up with warmness and his whole body tingled.

His partner in crime was clad in a white dress, lace adorning it. James couldn't take his eyes off her, she looked really really really pretty. How the lights shone at her, she literally looked like an angel. James found comfort in her smile, as if she was something he could always count on.
