Chapter 6 ~
Becoming an Adult

Today it was Ben's birthday and he was now a legal guardian. I gave him the only thing my parents left me when they actually left me. He said thankyou and gave me a big hug. He could officially leave the orpahnage, leave me, leave us. Would he do that? then it hit me, we could escape, together. I pulled him to one side, away from everyone else, and whispered him my plan of attack. He agreed but thinks it may be a little risky or tricky. My plan is: pack everything we needed, fill a bottle or two with water, grab (sneak) some food and make a run for it, quietly. It will take skill but I think we can handle it. At lunch the orphanage prepares some nice food because of the special occassion that it was, Ben's birthday. We chatted away with the other orphans while we at.
