"Congratulations! You've successfully delivered your newborn child!" The doctor said.

"Is it a boy or girl?" An exhausted mother asked.

"It's a-", The doctor was cut off as the woman's husband came into the room.

The husband ran to his wife and asked if everything was okay. The doctor said everything was fine. The wife just needed some rest. "Oh thank goodness." The husband said relieved. "So what's their name going to be?"

"I'm thinking..." The wife paused. "How about Frisk?"

"That name sounds nice. So what's their gender?"

Before the doctor could reply, he received a phone call. "I'm sorry, I have to take this. But, you could just sign some forms and both of you could be on your way." With that the doctor left.

It's been a few years now. Another human was lost in Mt. Ebott. That was the sixth one, and their family was heartbroken. The humans discussed what should be done, but they couldn't find a solution.

"It's a shame what happened." Frisk's mother said.

"I know. People have to stay away from that area." The father replied.

The family was out on a walk in a grassy prairie. "This place is so pretty." Frisk pointed out. They were currently playing with a stick.

"Frisk, you should learn how to fight. In case an emergency happens." The father declared. "And if you do somehow fall underground to all the horrifying monsters, you'd know what to do."

"Honey, they shouldn't learn violence at such a young age. Plus, maybe not all monsters are all bad. The war happened years ago. Frisk, why don't I teach you how to be nice and polite. Learn to spare and show mercy. Use your determination to help others." The mother spoke.

"They should learn to use their determination to be strong and be dominate. That is how I won your heart after all."

Frisk's mother pouted. Frisk, on the other hand was confused. They just love everybody. If they ever met a monster, they would probably flirt with it, no matter what. Frisk was currently climbing a tree that their family was seated under. While their family was bickering on whether or not Frisk should fight or spare, Frisk fell.

"Oh no Frisk are you alright? You're bleeding! Here I'll put a bandage on it." Frisk's mother said as she kissed their scraped knee. "Feel better?" Their child nodded in response.

"I was worried. Glad you weren't hurt majorly. Come on now. We should get going the sun is coming down." Frisk's father claimed.

"Can't we stay a few more minutes? The sunset looks so pretty." Frisk said in their tiny voice.

The mother agreed. The father gave in. The family enjoyed the view of the sun setting. They wondered if life can get any more better...

_____

The next day, Frisk had to go to school. "Bye Frisk! See you later." Frisk's family bid farewell to their child for now.

Frisk didn't entirely like school, but they stayed determined.

"Hey now isn't that the coward?" A bully said. Frisk instantly picked up their pace. They didn't really want to deal with them right now. "Hey, where are you going now, little Frisky?" The bully pushed Frisk on the ground and laughed. "Pathetic aren't you. You're so weak, you wouldn't survive if you fell to the monsters. We'll continue this after school."

Frisk brushed the dirt off. Comments like those don't affect them. Frisk will just stay determined throughout the day.

After school, Frisk tried to get home, but they encountered the bully. This time, with their gang.

Oh crap, crap, crap... Frisk thought. They really didn't want to have a bad time right now. So, they ran.

"Get them!" The gang started to run after Frisk. Frisk ran back to the grassy prairie, near Mt. Ebott. The gang was getting closer.

With little strength they had left, Frisk climbed up the tree they did before and hid until the bullies were away. "What a scaredy cat. Where are you Frisk? We just want to play..." One of the bullies said.

"Hey, um, dude... I think we should get back now. We're near Mt. Ebott, and you know the legend. If I don't get back my parents will ground me."

"Fine. Go ahead. This ain't over Frisk!"

_____

Frisk went home. Another day of almost getting trampled. Man, I'm so tired. Frisk's thoughts said. When Frisk opened the door to their home, it was not a happy sight.

"What do you think you were doing! You shouldn't waste our money like that! I work hard to get us a better life." Frisk's mom shouted at her husband.

"Well excuse me if I just want better things!" Frisk's dad responded.

"You are so selfish you lying bas-"

Before the wife could finish her sentence, Frisk ran up to them and hugged them by the legs. "Stop fighting! Please..." Frisk pleaded, tears threatening to spill.

The parents looked down to their child and realized what a big mistake they made. They apologized to each other and to Frisk. The family gathered into a hug and returned to what they were doing.

_____

Later that night, Frisk was scared the incident between their parents would happen again, so they ran away. Frisk ran to the grassy prairie. They sat under the tree gazing up at the stars, thinking. "Boy, the sky is so pretty..." Frisk muttered under their breath. The sky was clear with the exception of stars dotting the black space. "What am I going to do? Our family is slowly falling apart."

What Frisk didn't know was that they were wandering closer and closer to Mt. Ebott.

"What if mom and dad don't love each other? That would really suck..." Frisk kept muttering and walked into the cave of Mt. Ebott. "Woah, the flowers. Are so yellow!" Frisk said. The buttercups were the only thing really bright in the dark cave. "Maybe if I just..."

Frisk couldn't see in the dark so they tripped on a vine on the ground. "Wait! Ahhh! Am I going to die?" Frisk asked to themselves. Frisk called for help.

But nobody came...
