---- Carrie ChaseI can feel me being moved around. The shuffleing. Can't they see I want to rest in peace?
I can hear shuffling beside and distant conversations. I can't make out what they were saying. They're yelling at each other. Pick and prods up and down my arms. I can feel myself going limb and my heart rate go down miraculously.
I hear a flatline beside me and I fully blunge into eternal darkness.
"Aunt Lisa, are you here?" I call out as I enter the house from finishing my third job. My body rage with excitement as I try to find her.
"In here dear!" She calls from the kitchen.
I quickly run up the stairs and walk into the kitchen. "You won't believe it, I'm getting accepted into the academy!" I scream in excitement.
"I'm so proud of you!" She says as she gives me a hug.
"I can't believe it! I will be saving lives!" I squeal. "Imagine all the places I'll go!"
My phone vibrates and I pull it out. I answer it and a voice comes through.
"Hello?" I say.
I hear a raspy breath. But nothing. "Hello? Anyone there?" Nothing.
"Who is it dear?" My Aunt Lisa quesions me.
I shrug it off and hang up. I turn towards my aunt. "No one." I giggle.
I couldn't contain my excitement as my phone vibrate one more time. I swipe the phone and pull it up to my ear. "Yes?"
"Hey Cas, I need help down here. Could you come in for a night shift?"
I stare at the floor. As if, I am already tired. "Yeah-Yeah, Jaslyn, I'll be there." I sigh as I quickly hang up.
"Time for a celebration?" Lisa ask, quesioned.
I shake my head no. "They need me, of course." I groan. "Oh, it's okay. We will celebrate later."
I nod. "I best be going." I say. She pulls me into a warm hug and I say my goodbyes. Tears were in her eyes as I walk out of the door. Clutching the piece of paper. This is all coming together. I smile.

My phone vibrates as I make a pot of coffee in my apartment. "Hold on!" I call out. Thinking that my phone would actually 'hold on'. The ringing ends as I place my mug on the table. I reach for my phone and grab it.
I look at the screen. Missed call and voicemail.
I unlock my phone and play the voicemail.
"Hello Dr. Carrie Chase, This Aaron Hotchner, I'm calling from the BAU from Virginia saying that you'll be recruited once your college and academy years are over."
I couldn't hold my excitement any longer to finish the voicemail. I squeal and jumped around the room. I couldn't be more happy.

She pushes me back and as I stumble to my feet. The metal glistens so beautifully. I look back up and her finger slowly start to press the trigger. I inhale a sharp intake of air and prepare for the stinging pain.
