I went upstairs to go check on Scarlet,only to find her passed out, most likely from fear and exhaustion. I grabbed a blanket and gently covered her up. I grabbed my gaming chair and set it against the wall so I could watch to make she she was ok and safe. Damn it my mom wouldn't be back for at least another week,she was a prosecutor at the law firm in town and was off on a murder trial. I called Scarlet's mom and let her know her daughter was safe and told her it'd be safer if she stayed here until my mom was home to take care of those responsible. I told her we'd be there in a few hours,so Scarlet could rest. I looked over at her sleeping... She looked so fragile... "DAMN IT" I cursed accidentally waking Scarlet " huh what's going on,did they leave" she asked sleepily. "Yeah they left, I called your mom and told her it'd be safer if you stayed here till my mom gets home". "In couple of hours we'll go to your house and get some clothes for you,but you need some rest" as she fell back asleep I thought to myself: " god what did we get into"
