As I unpacked my suitcases and settled into my old room, I noticed everything was kept the same. My butterfly wallpaper and even my stuffed animals. Since it was only mid-day I decided to hop in the shower and get ready to explore Trinidad. If you don't know where Trinidad is , it is in the Caribbean and one of the best islands there. Trinidad has always been home to me and for years now I can say , the only place I feel comfortable being myself.
When I got out the shower I wondered if my friends would even recognise me. No one knew I was coming and no one knew I was here, but my grandparents. It was all going to be a suprise and hopefully a good one. My friends and I use to do everything together we called ourselves The Fantastic 4. Through school we stuck together and by the time we were 6 I was called to leave. I had to leave all my friends , my family and the only life i've ever known and fly to America to see my mother. The mother I haven't seen since I was 1, the mother I don't know and the mother I couldn't remember , I was shattered and to never be the same again.
Interupted from my thoughts I heard the doorbell ring , wondering who it was I quickly put my jeans on and a loose-fitting shirt and ran downstairs. To my surprise, it was my cousins running up to me and giving me tight bear hugs. I've missed them so much and words can't even explain how big they got. I cant belive it's been 5 years..
