I was walking inthe forest because I needed to clear my head. There have been rumoursgoing around about the forest being haunted, people have been seeingand hearing strange and unexplainable things. So I decided to go andsee for myself.

As I was walking Istarted to notice the strange things everyone has been talking about,I had found a few sets of wind chimes, when the wind blows they makesounds like ghosts. I also found some booby traps, I almost gottrapped in a few of them. There were all sorts of traps, almost anykind you could think of. After a while of walking the path startedgetting narrow and almost non-existent.

The path wasalmost gone at this point but I continued following what was left. Iwas walking along when suddenly something red and black flashes by. Ihad no idea what it was but I was soon to find out.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? Where did you come from?" Well now I knowit's a person.

"My name is Elsi,I live in the village nearby, and I came looking for the cause of acommon rumour. People think this forest is haunted y'know," I don'tknow why I was being so nice, I don't even know who it is. "Now Ithink you need to tell me your name"

"I don't know whyyou want to know my name but I suppose I could tell you. My name isNate, but that doesn't matter, you shouldn't be here, you won'tlike me and you will likely get hurt".

I told him that Ididn't understand why I would get hurt but I could guarantee that Iwould be his friend and won't hate him. He didn't believe me thoughand was certain I would hate him. I asked him to at least showhimself.

When he stepped outof the bushes I was astonished. He was so pale it was almost like heglowed, his hair was... odd, it was an unnatural shade of red. He hadicy blue eyes, and a chiseled jaw. His clothes were all black butawesome non-the-less. His shirt was a tight, low V-neck with longsleeves, the sleeves were attached to the bottom with fabric, almostlike wings. His pants were just plain pants, and he had no shoes on.

"w-wow" thatwas all I could muster out, I was so amazed. I think he took it as abad thing because he tried to hide back in the bush, but I wouldn'tlet him. I grabbed his wrist and yanked him back out. He struggledagainst my hold but I just pulled him along the path. I decided I wasgoing to give him a make-over, he had potential. I voiced my opinionto him and all he did was attempt to stutter out a few words andblush. I pulled him all the way to my house.

I lived alone in asmall house on the outskirts of the village. My parents died a fewyears back so I was left with the house and a small sum of money. Ihad managed to live with the money they left for a while but had toget a job. My house was small but with only one person it was morethan enough. It was two floors but the top floor only had two roomsand a bathroom.

I took him straightup the stairs, pushed him into the bathroom and demanded he shower. While he was in the shower I went into the other room, which wascurrently a storage room, and looked for some of my dad's oldclothes. I found a black suit buried deep in the pile, my dad rarelywore formal clothes but I thought the suit would look good on Nate.

I went back to the bathroom and opened the door just enough to throwin the suit and tell him to put it on when he was done.

When he came out of the bathroom his hair was still drenched and hewas trying to tie his tie. I grabbed a towel and started drying hishair, I don't think he liked it because he tried to get away.

"Elsi is it necessary to do this" he asked still trying to getaway. I giggled and nodded. It was almost dry so I figured I'd lethim get away with it and moved on to his tie. He had messed it up sobad, it was all tangled up and knotted where it shouldn't be. Afterfixing his tie, hair, and face (I put some light make up on him) Itook him out into the town.

"Elsi I don't want to go to the town" he whined, "people heredon't like me"

"Nate, not everyone is going to hate you, you need to try to findpeople who will" I explained.

Nate got a few strange looks from people we walked past and everytime someone did he would frown and scoot a bit closer to me. I toldhim that he should smile, more people will like him if he is a happyperson.

Nate smiled and alittle girl came and asked if he was and angel he replied with "yes,I was left on earth when I was very young, but I hope to return"the girl was super happy and ran off to tell all her friends that shemet an angel.

"See" I toldNate "not everyone will hate you".

He smiled and said "maybe not"

Nate made many more friends that day and onwards, but I remained hisbest. He never did return to heaven, so I don't know for sure ifwhat he said that day was true or not but I believe it is.
