james speaks

7 1 1

(july 2014)

he talks like he's reading from a book:

perfect grammar and a habit for flourishing sentences

using words that make him sound a lot older than he is.

he reads a lot.

he puts colors into words,

making pictures with paragraphs,

and making murals of monologues.

listening to him speak is as entertaining

and somehow as calming

as watching television.

he moves when he talks,

if not with his body then with his face.

he doesn't laugh, he chortles or snickers.
