Years later

Chapter 3

I woke up the next morning to my blankets all wrapped around me tight. I was so warm and comfy and cuddled, I never wanted to get out of bed. I looked up at the clock... 11:30! Dang!!! I guess I should get up. I slowly get up out of bed, grunting and stretching out like a big star, yeah I don't do that Disney Princess stuff where I get up and my hair is perfect and I can just immediately stand up. Nahh that does not ever happen for me.

Maybe half an hour later I finally stop stretching and procrastinating getting up. I get up and look into my mirror to see how scary I looked on this fine sunny morning. I'm glad I have no little siblings, because if I did, they would be scared to death of me right now. Yikes. I turned on Pandora and my Bluetooth speaker, music slowly faded in.

One of my favorite songs, Do My Step by Kalin and Myles, comes on. I started singing and dancing.

"Ladies if you love me

Make it bounce just like a bungee

We can turn this into somethin

Get it crackin Humpty Dumpty

You already know I like you

It's no tellin what I might do

Tell me does this life excite you" I finished, that is my favorite part of that whole song.

"Nice performance." Someone said while walking into my room clapping.

I turned around and saw Erin there smiling like the Cheshire cat.

"Jeez, Erin you scared the crap out of me!" I told her while going to give her a hug.

"Well you deserve it because I called you ten times with no response from you!" She said yelling the last part and lightly hitting me.

Then I realized my phone still had scheduled Do Not Disturb on....oops.

I looked up at Erin, yes looked UP to Erin. She is about 3 inches taller than me, yeah I am short. Anyway, I looked up at Erin and grinned.

"Come on yo little butthole, we are going out for lunch. You have 10 minutes or your walking to Panera." She told me staring me down and trying not to laugh.

"Oh Panera!!!!" I yelled like a little child

"9 minutes!" She yelled pushing me into my closet, while laughing.

"Lets go bitch!!!" Erin said pulling me out of my room while we both sat down on the stairs laughing. Erin suddenly looked at me, "Do you know what we should do?' She asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

We both looked at each other, dead serious, grabbed each others hands, and slid down the stairs on our butts. We lasted maybe 3 stairs before we couldn't hold our laughter anymore.

We landed on the hardwood-floored bottom with a thud.

"That was Great!" She said looking at me. We instantaneously busted out into laughter again.

"Okay come on, I'm hungry!!" I said jumping up and down like a little kid

"Will you chill little child" She asked me amused

"Is that a short joke?" I asked trying to be as serious as I could

"Maybe, maybe not." She replied laughing as we started walking out the door. Yes, when we are together we NEVER stop laughing.

Then right before we walk out the door, I hear,

"Bye mom! See you soon. Love you." Erin said running to give my mom a hug

I walked into the living room to give my mom a hug, a kiss, and said I Love You.

"Off we go!" Erin yelled as we walked to the car.

We go in the car, turned on the radio, and jammed out on the way to paneras.
