This is my last day being "normal" I guess you can say. This may be my last week alive if anything.
Anyway before I become sad or depressed, let me tell you some things about myself.
My name is Cassidy Rose, I am eighteen years old, I am a music obsesser. (If obsesser is even a word lol) You could ask me anything about music or any artist and I'd answer it straight away.
The year right now is 3003 and a lot has changed in the past one thousand years. The town is over populated so they send people who are fourteen to go and die. I can tell you though, that this is nothing like the Hunger Games. It's so different (I read that book series too bro). I am also a huge reader, my favorite book series is probably the Percy Jackson series (both of them).
I am also athletic, they got rid of sports like Volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, baseball, football etc. They are now replaced with violent sports. For example Archery is one of them, another is called square, in square you use knives and throw them at dummies, sometimes you would play against another team and if someone hit you, you would be rushed to the hospital. Square is my second favorite sport next to Archery.
There are also training sports. These consist of Karate, Kung fu, any fighting in particular.
Everything about this town is violent basically. Almost all the Earth had been nuked by some unknown source. People say it was Russia, some say Aliens, some say that that was the end and God decided to leave us behind because apparently we were considered the bad town.
Anyway the whole Earth except for us had been nuked and we are the only survivors. We had a king at the time. His name was king Luke and he demanded that our town needed a new start. He wanted us to have children and make the Earth populated again. Everyone loved King Luke.
Sadly a little after that speech, about 3 months, King Luke had been missing. Our local police were using all the technology and dogs they could to find him. The people who thought that the aliens nuked the world grew in fear. They had thought that the aliens had taken King Luke. Basically the town went insane after he was gone. What else were they supposed to do.
The factories closed and food wasn't being made for a long time. People would eat each other just so they could survive. All those babies who were just born, they were the first ones gone. People thought that since they were just born they cold go back to heaven. It was weird but they basically ate them first. That didn't last though. The babies didn't have meat in them since they were just born. Their next choice had been the elderly. They were bigger and since they were older they have already lived their lives.
Before I scare you let's say there was a resolution but not a good one. King Luke was found dead with a brick attached to a rope that was tied around his wrist. He basically drowned himself...
We had a new leader, we didn't call him by King or anything relevant to that. We Simply called him Mr. X. Nobody knew about his last name. All we got was Mr. X. Anyway after Mr. X was our leader, he made the town horrible. He made these machines where the parents of an unborn could design their child. This made people really want to have children. Eventually the town was over populated and we didn't have enough money to let everyone have jobs.
That's where these games come in. Everyone who is eighteen must fight in games. There are about 923948894 different games. You never know how many you are going to do your year. It depends on how many teams you have. If you have 4832 teams then you will do 4831 games. Your teams consist of 20 people evenly, if the amount of teens can not be divided equally by 20, then random teens will be killed on the spot. Once the teams are set up you will fly to the continent of what used to be North America. This is where the games will be held. Your team has to be an all girls team or an all boys team, depends what gender you are.
This means that there will be 40 survivors after these games. and you HAVE to marry a person from the other winning team (which will be the opposite gender). You are forced to have at least 2 kids with them or else you'll both be executed. If you can't have kids then you'll either be executed or you will have to have a VERY painful surgery. That's what happened with my mom, she couldn't have children but she didn't want to die so she did the surgery. I have a twin brother, Adam, and an older sister, Bridget. Bridget won in her year but it wasn't easy for her. In one of her games she got stabbed and almost died. Her team won that game so they brought Bridget back.
There are some games where you have to play against your own team though. So whoever dies does not come back to life. These games are recorded live but people can't watch them unless they hacked the system in their tv to do so. I got a friend of mine to do that for me.
