Jenna . . . Saying Goodbye
I look at the almost completely empty room and think about all the memories that were made in here. Although we fought sometimes I love my older brother and I am going to miss him being around all the time.
I sigh as I picked up the one of the last boxes on the floor and struggle to carry it down the stairs. I walk into the driveway and place the box into the trunk of my brother's grey truck. I take a moment to catch my breath. I see my brother come out with another box and place it next to the one I had just put in.
"That's the last of 'em" he says, looking at all the boxes full of his things from his old room. He looks at me, "I'm gonna miss you buddy" he opens up his arms and pulls me in for a hug.
"I'm gonna miss you too pal" I reply. As he releases me from our hug our parents walk towards us. My dad also has his arms open and my mother was fighting back tears.
"Come on, family hug!" Says my dad
"No Dad we jus-" I'm cut off
"Hey you're brother's moving out and into a house of his own, this is a big moment for all of us. Family hug." He grabs the two of us and pulls us close to my mother and him before either of us could protest again. We stand there for a good ten seconds with our arms wrapped around each other.
When we let go my mother spoke to my brother, "Make sure to call me everyday" as the words came out a single teardrop escapes her eye.
"Of course I will" my brother smiles and puts his arm on my mother's shoulder to reassure her.
"And Ryan, not too much partying. You have a job to go to every morning."
"Yes mom"
My mom brings Ryan in for one last hug. She treats him like he was seven years old, when really he was 16 years older than that. He's only moving a few miles away and we could drive there in minutes, but she's acting as any mother who loves her child would.
Ryan gets into his car, starts the engine, and rolls down his window, "I'll call you guys later if I need any help getting things set up"
"Are you happy you're finally getting the hell away from us?" I ask him jokingly.
"Yeah, I can't stand you guys!" As he backs out of the driveway he smiled and waved goodbye.
"Bye!" We all wave back.
As I walk down the upstairs hallway to get to my room I pass by Ryan's old one. It looked so barren, all the posters gone, the desk he sat at every single night, the bed you could barely get him out of sometimes, gone. The only sign of him left in there were the navy blue walls, his absolute favorite color. I smile. I am then interrupted by my vibrating cell phone. I take it out of my pocket and see that I have a text from my friend Nicole.
'Hey, wanna come over later and hang out?' I smile even bigger. Nicole has been my best friend since pre school, we are practically sisters.
I quickly reply saying 'Sure, be over in a bit :)'
I continued making my way to my room and start to get ready.

Kaitlyn . . . My Sister and I
I wake up to the sound of an unfamiliar voice. I jump and immediately am on full alert. I realize I had fallen asleep on the couch, and the person talking was the news anchor on the tv. I relax and sit back down. I check the time, 5:47pm, my dad should be coming home soon. I flip through the channels not finding anything worth watching on tv until I hear the front door being unlocked. My older sister Caroline walks in and smiles at me.
"You're not who I expected" I say, confusion being detectable in my voice.
"Oh well I'm sorry. Would you like me to leave?" She responses sarcastically.
"No! Come keep me company" I pat the spot next to me on the couch. She sits down next to me and grabs the remote out of my hand.
"Didn't your mother ever teach you not to grab things out of people's hands? It's quite rude."
"Actually no she didn't, and my mom is your mom dumbass" she looks at me and gives a slight smirk. From anyone else's point of view, it'd look like we hate each other right now, but this is how we joke around all the time. I smile back at her.
Caroline decides on a channel and a commercial featuring Taylor Lautner comes on screen.
"Oh he is fine" she stares at the tv screen "I'd join his wolf pack any day"
"That's the worst joke I've ever heard... He is pretty sexy" I say, he eyes are so brown I can't look away
"Why can't all boys look like that?" My sister says in almost a whisper, I don't know whether it was more towards me or herself though.
"Look at his jawline oh my god you sexy thing" I say, surprising myself because I never talk like that.
"Have you seen his six pack?" Caroline asks me but still stares at the man on the tv.
"Yes obviously who hasn't? And it's an eight pack actually, because he's just that much of a god. I literally spent hours looking at every single shirtless picture of him"
The commercial ends, and Caroline finally looks at me, "We need to find ourselves some boyfriends"
I shrugged, I haven't told my sister about the crush I had on a friend of mine Dan yet. He's tall and has eyes so dark they were almost black, and light brown hair that I want so badly to run my fingers through. We met when we were in the same chem class last year, and have been friends ever since. I didn't notice how attractive and perfect of a guy he was however until about three months ago. Whenever he texts me I can't help but smile and he can make me laugh so easily. I just find him so different from all the other guys, and I don't think he'll break my heart or waste my time. I really want things to work out with Dan, but for now we're just good friends, hopefully someday in the near future though that will change. I keep quiet, not wanting to tell Caroline about Dan just yet.
Caroline looks shocked, her mouth drops open, "What? You don't want to find your perfect guy?"
"Oh trust me I want to find him just as much as any teenage girl, but I don't want to rush it. When the time it right, we'll find each other." I say this but inside I think I've already found the perfect guy.
"Ok, you just keep waiting for fate to happen, meanwhile, I'm going to go cute boy hunting, want to come?" She gets up and grabs her red purse.
"Now that just sounds creepy"
"Oh come on dipshit," she pulls me up by my arm and drags me out of the house "next stop, the mall"
"You're so nice to me"
