My second day of school and I have a friend, Makayla. I never thought I would have a friend that fast, but the world is a weird place. I have all but two classes with Kayla. I wish I had all my classes with her.

Well her and Will.

I walk to third period, band, with Makayla and sit down in my seat. Because I am a clarinet, I sit infront of the trumpets. Behind me sits a tall trumpet player with deep brown hair, and light green eyes. I recignize him from yesterday. Will. He smiles at me. I panic and turn back around. Remembering what happened yesterday. My heart beats in my ears, a steady fast pace.

In last period, math, the girl who sits on my left, Alexis, asks me if I'm dating anyone. I say no.

I see her text someone named Will about my answer to her question.

Is this the same Will the one from yesterday, and from band?

When I get home from school I see I have a new email from Will. I hope it's the same Will as before. I open the email and it reads.

Hey this is Will. And so you know, I'm not stalking you. So I have heard from a very reliable source that you are singleI sit behind you in band,

So I was correct. I continue reading, now excited about what will come next in the email.

And I think you're cute. Email me back when you can, or just talk to me at school tomorrow. I hope to see you soon Stephanie. I hope this isn't too forward. I like you, a lot.
-Will A. Dillon.

After I read the email, and freak out because a cute guy I just met emailed me to say that I'm cute, so I text Kayla.

Will just emailed me saying that I'm cute. What should I say back??

Soon she replys.

Stay calm and relaxed. I dont think this means much, and if you are freaking out so much just email him back and asks him, "Why me?" It's not like he is going to kill you Stephanie.

I know he isnt going to kill me, but I'm not sure I should email him back. I just don't know what to say to him. He's so cute, and I'm not. I'm not even average.

Then why don't you just email him back he won't hurt you. At least say that you got his message, and let him take over the conversation from there.

Fine.

I email Will back and say.

I got your email. I don't think it's too straight forward to say you like me. Your honest. I like that. And I would like to talk to you some more. Text me if you would like to, too.

I send the email to him, and send him my number, too.

Soon I get a text.

I'm so happy I didn't scare you. Do you want to go on a date?

With who?

With me.

I know I was trying to be funny. I make jokes when I'm nervous.

You dont need to be nervious. And I like a funny girl. Especially when it's you.

Thanks.

Just the truth. So, tomorrow at eight.

In the morning or night?

Night. You know, I like you.

I know, I'm amazing. Talk to you tomorrow at school. Good night, Will.

Good night, Stephanie.

And I fall asleep with his "Good night" as my last thought. I like him. A lot.
