It's yours and Deans one year wedding anniversary.  Marriage Anniversaries are suppose to be romantic, filled with love, but it's also been a year since...he passed.

365 days, 52 weeks, and 12 months. Each passing day without him was more painful than the last. Sam didn't keep in contact much. A call on the holidays and on your birthday was basically all you got. You would try every now and again, but he never picked up. Castiel was more in contact, but not face to face. He came and popped in once a month if you were lucky, but he called every weekend to check in.

You gave up hunting, knowing hunting down the demon that killed him for revenge would get you killed as well, and no matter how much you currently wanted to die you knew Dean would kill you in the after life.

Today though, felt like utter hell. Just getting out of bed was more of a struggle, but you promised yourself that you were going to do this. No matter how much it killed you too.

You got up and got dressed, deciding to wear a little white sundress with laced sleeves, white vans, and Deans favorite leather jacket. You decided to curl your (h/c) hair and wear only eye make up (to make your (e/c) eyes pop) and lip gloss.

"Decent enough.." You mumbled, poking at the bags under your eyes. You looked down at the white marble counter and saw the lone glimmer of your wedding ring. You sighed, grabbing it and putting it on before leaving out of the bathroom.

You were going to go and visit Deans grave. He had a hunters funeral of course, but you gave him a hedge stone because it was what he deserved. You haven't gone to the graveyard since the "normal" funeral ceremony. It was just to surreal, knowing that he was gone, and it being there was just validation, reality punching you in the stomach. But you had too, you knew Dean would've wanted it.

You skipped out on breakfast, and walked out the house and into the black mustang. You decided to let Sam keep the car. Before you came along Dean had already promised Sam it was going to be his, and you of course were more than understanding to that. So you let him have it as long as you kept the jacket and clothing.

You lived in an excluded part of Kansas, close to where Deans old house once stood, but you lived in your own house. In its own little secluded area. (Just picture the house from The Notebook...).

'Okay... You can do this! You can do this! It's Dean... Just talk to him normally..' You thought as you turned onto the gravel road out looking the sea of gravestones. You drove all the way to the back and parked by the tree line. You got out, and walked towards the far end of the cemetery. You read some of the names on them as you passed. The more you walked the fewer the gravestones. You and Sam had agreed it'd be best if Deans ashes were buried in his own little area.

You looked around until you saw it... a single, black head stone standing in the tree line underneath a willow. You sighed, contemplating on whether or not to turn back, but it was too late. You continued walking until you were standing in front of it.

Dean Winchester
January 24, 1979 - (current date)

You kneeled down and placed your now shaky hand on the glass like surface, tracing his name with your frail finger. You felt your breath begin to hitch as you came near the end, and soon tears began to pour uncontrollably down your face. You quickly got up and stared down as the tears kept flowing. Covering your mouth to not make any noise you began to speak.

"Hey, b-babe.." You spoke as the last part got caught in your throat, "Happy anniversary."

You brought your small, trembling hand up to your eyes and pressed down your palms to wipe the tears. You breathed in heavily as you could barely stop the wave of emotions crashing down on you.

"C- Cas and Sammy are okay. Cas is helping up in heaven, and Sammy is still saving people. They're real heroes, Dean. You'd be s-so proud of them." Your voice cracked as you began to sob softly into your sleeves.

"They really miss you, babe... I really miss you. Nothing seems right anymore. I barely talk to them anymore, a- and the house is constantly empty. I don't know what to do without you here. I have no clue what I- I'm doing anymore.." You cried, "I have no direction.. I'm s-so sorry.. I love you s-so m-much..."

You fell to your knees and began to sob into your arms. You felt awful, lost, and empty, so terribly empty. You haven't cried in almost the entire year he's been gone, and now that you were it felt almost impossible to stop. Your heart was shattered, and there felt like there was a giant gaping hole in your chest.

Minutes passed, and you were no longer crying so hard. Tears were falling, but not as vigorously. You just stared blankly at the headstone, reading his name over and over and over again until your eyes burned and you'd have to blink. You were numb, clutching his jacket sleeves and playing with your wedding ring with a less shaky hand. You didn't want to move.

"(Y/n)..." You heard a deep, graveled voice. You turned your head to see the blue eyed, trench coat wearing angel staring down at you. A blank expression written amongst his features, except his eyes were filled with remorse and sympathy.

"Hey, Cas," you said blandly as you turned back around and began to read the headstone again.

"He wants you to know that he loves you and wants to wish you a happy anniversary."
